Hello Monday...we meet again.

Woke up in the middle of the night to Shasta trying to play on my night stand; and by 'play', I mean 'nibble on mom's iPhone!' I shooed her away; she attacked my shooing hand; I feel back asleep. It's become a nightly tradition! :lol: She is very silly this morning. Talking, being sassy, playing w/ the child-proof latch while I make her breffis. But my favorite was when she started playing w/ her sassy string that was hanging off her kitty condo. She pulled it off the condo and it became draped on her and she couldn't figure out why it was following her. She didn't freak out...just walked around w/ her new best friend following her!!!!

Appy is good, mid-breffis potty break tells me that she's peeing and pooping, got purrs last night, play and preening! All's good here.

Sorry I never made it around to condos this weekend. I feel like such a slacker. :oops: Blessings and happy healthy thoughts to everyone!!

Hi guys .. it sounds like shasta is living the life! Too funny on the string following her around .. our civvie twix used to let her stuffed baby octopus ride around on her back .. she eventually threw up on it and we had to toss it .. and can't ever find one to replace it! Have a great day guys!

Looks like a good day is brewing for Shasta - already in the blues. YAY! Too funny with the play - I love the strings the best. My kitties are all seniors, don't play that much but in days gone by the strings were always their favorite.

no worries on the condos - that happens here all the time, despite my best intentions when I start the day... we all understand.

Hi everyone,

You're all too sweet "letting us off the hook" about visiting condos! I'm going to attempt it tonight! Shasta's been in a goodish mood tonight. Spent some time in her cat carrier for a nap and now is napping on the couch behind me. She's not eating much tonight which worries me and when I gave her the pm shot, she flinched as I finished pressing the plunger and when I pulled the needle out, a drop of blood followed. :shock: Got me worried.

Well, she's cleaning herself right now...cleaning right next to my ear! :roll: Ok, let me finish this post so that I can check out what's going on in LL! Good night!

Good report on sassy Shasta! Maybe a visit to the lagoon? No worries about condo visiting. Sometimes there is just too much to do.

Hi Deborah,
You just nicked a capillary. I do that quite often and want to let you know that it is not a problem. (Rusty won't keep his head down when I shoot, so I have to hold the syringe at an angle that is difficult for me.) Yesterday I gave a real "blood shot", but he was fine.

Looks like Shasta might be heading to the Green Lagoon tonight.

Hi Liz, I miss visiting my LL kitties and beans. By the time I get home, I'm just exhausted and want to crawl into bed. This whole poke-fest with Shasta is really messing with this girl's sleeping beauty schedule! :lol:

Hi Ellen, Glad to know I didn't almost kill my cat! Sometimes she gets so silly during poke time, she just wants to turn around and get pets... STOP WIGGLING!!! :roll: :lol: As for the lagoon, I'm thinking she is going to avoid it tonight. :YMSIGH: Oh well...blues are pretty, too! :-D

Looks like Shasta wants to dive into the Lagoon tonite!--We all understand about being exhausted & we all have those days! Moonie used to have a toy with a long skinny piece of flannel on a lucite stick, that I called fishing for cats (it was pink with hearts) and I would fly it at her & she would bat at it--Spmetimes it wrapped around her tail & she would fly around the house with it -so funny- Her brother liked it too, but he would just walk away!! Love Shasta kitty playing! Have a good night! YOu are doing great--Hugs 7 Love from us!
 
Awww, thanks, Roni! She still has her silly moments, but I have noticed her slow down a lot over the past few months. Always the concerned mama...like the rest of the beans around here! :-D - on the pink/flannel/hearts toy! I'd have fun with that!!!!! Sleep well!
