Sorry to miss so many condos yesterday. "Performance Review" time at work. Pretty irrelevant for me, I think. Goodness, I take care of animals. You do it or you don't! (And I do it pretty darned well, if I say so myself.)

But, nooooooooooo, several pages of goals/objectives, reviews of previous goals/objectives all keyboarded into a stupid form...which I had to do out of the house since my antebellum computer wouldn't support the software the form insisted I use.

OK, venting over. Hey, Rowsie, I'm done, you can get back on the vent again.

All's well in Pollywood. Finally broke through the Flat Polly-Yellow Polly. As usual at too-dark-morning the critters are sleeping off their breffis bash. Polly in her window hammock, Boomer next to me on the couch, Will-the-dog on the loveseat, and Rowsie...of course...on the vent!

Errands this afternoon. So, Miss Polly, just fine with me if you stay blue today.

My mid-year review is coming up too, such a waste of time. My boss and I just use it as an excuse to go have coffee, then since I don't believe anyone reads the computer form anyway, I just put 'all good' on it ha ha ha so far so good, been doing that few a few years and no one's mentioned it yet!

I hate review time. I have been here 10 years and it is always the same exact thing every six months. My boss hates it as much as I do thankfully.

Oh, how I hated reviews back in my corporate days....talk about a useless exercise! I am sure you got a stellar review, though....how lucky are those animals to have you caring for them???

Hmm - back in the day when I last did those reviews, we did 360 reviews which meant reviews from peers, as well as bosses and people in my group. So, did they interview the animals you care for? That's really what counts. They are so lucky to have you there. As are your furkids.

OK Polly, let's see a blue repeat please!
 
sounds like we could do a whole ranting thread on reviews - everyone loves them! hehehe i was happy to discover that i only will be reviewed every other year in my current job. how cool is that?!

glad that she's got some peeks of blue in there - are you thinking about a dose increase anytime soon?

your description of the family, other than it being dark, sounds wonderful. i'm just observing that at 5:03pm it is still light tonight. WOOT! while still very early, at least the days are starting to get a little longer.

Now, that would be great. Trick would pee on them; Natty would do the flat ears, hiss and bite; Tiger would leap into laps pounding all 18 pounds down on sensitive parts; Bristol would simply glare hate stares from her cat-tree cubby; the shy girls would hunker down under the double bench forcing the interview team to get down on their hands and knees to talk with them; Smokey, well, he's a love. All the others would scatter hither and far to favored hiding spots. Hey, it's a sanctuary. My work cats are where they are because they each need special attention and handling. They're comfy with people they know (and feed them!) but strangers? Lots of invisible critters. The dogs. Not too keen on strangers either. Could be messy! I would love it!

Yes. But everytime I think this is the cycle to go up, she throws me a blue or downward movement and I think....let's see what happens. And I'm gun shy after last week Tuesday's all nighter. Silly, I know, but I just have a feeling....

Soon, though, if she starts a consistent creep up.

Hmm, I see downward movement. You sure know your cat.

I think you could make a great Youtube video of the sanctuary animals giving review feedback. :joyful::joyful:
 
Hi Marilyn and Polly! I hope you are having a nice night. I like the downward movement...Billie tricked me with several flat cycles in a row, then decided that last night was the night to get dramatic. I hope the dosecrease goes well if you go for it. Polly, are you reading this? The threat is out there!
