One thing about FD: there are always surprises and unpredictables!! The sizable drop at +2 indicates that it will probably be an active cycle, and the +4 indicates that the action has started. Nice +4, Mikey! Now, lets have a nice green surf this afternoon. (it sure doesn't look like a "step back").

Unfortunately for Mikey, nadir is somewhere between +3 and +4 so the action is usually about over by then. He may have touched the green and i missed it, but if he's not green by +4, we aren't going to see any for the cycle; he's on the way back up by then. He didn't read the memo that says he's not supposed to hit nadir for another three hours.

PMPS 145!! That's the lowest EVER at night! I had to take a deep breath and draw his dose, but I know in order to keep him on track, I need to learn to shoot these numbers. With his evening cycles usually the most active, I will keep a close eye on him, but I am really happy with what he's doing recently. I don't want to jinx anything with speculation, but if he keeps these low numbers, he's well on the way to being a happy healthy cat, even if he has to remain on insulin for the rest of his life.

+3 126 This cycle has thrown me for a loop. I'm pretty sure I didn't get a fur shot. Now, Mikey DID steal one piece of microwave kettle corn, which may have affected his +3 since it is sweet. But it's very strange to me...I thought I'd be watching like a hawk for him to drop under 50 after shooting such a low number; not sure why he'd have a flat cycle there. The +3 could be the popcorn talking, but not the +2. Weird.

I was thinking of squeezing him up to a .2, but I'm still not happy with these needles and am having a really hard time with them as far as getting exactly the same amount every time, though his preshot numbers have been the best ever since I switched. Also, he did drop below 50 a couple of weeks ago on the .1; is an increase wise? If his numbers aren't better tomorrow, we'll try a small increase, but as I said, I'm having an incredibly hard time getting the right dose with these needles. I'd go back to the old ones (BD) if I could find them online with half units at a similar price to the Monojects; Target charges $33 a box for 100 and the Monojects were half that on ADW.
