HEALTH AND DOSE INFO:
Yesterday was..... a great day in MannieLand. The BG's weren't all that great, too many pinks, a few yellows and even fewer blues. We may have to up the dose sooner than I had hoped. Mannie? DUDE? We need those blues big guy..... Other than that Mannie had a great day. Activities have been fairly normal, he seems to be getting stronger each day too. He is up and about, doing normal Mannie things, getting better. He's alert, preening, visiting favorite haunts. LB continues to be good, normal. Ketone test last night was negative. Appy was good this yesterday, CPC status all day. YAY! I did not given him any bupe yesterday - he seemed fine without it , and no worse for wear . We will try again today without it, as he doesn't seem to be in pain (hard to tell with him) and he isn't acting "off". So... will see how it goes. It was a good day for him - YAHOO! What can one say about last night: The FDMB Olympic Diving Champion was back - what a dive! and in true Mannie Fashion we have the bounce of all bounces this morning - right into the alpha zone.... omg on that. Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better vines. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Yesterday he was just being Mannie, hanging out in the kitchen, awaiting his chicken snack that he gets when we have breffis (yes, we eat late...) He went out on the deck earlier in the morning, took a short tour. A few minutes later I opened the door for him, so he could get some sniffs. He sat there , did just that, and purred. :-D :-D way cool. I sat and tried to remember the last time he went out on the deck.... been a while. The yard is next, but so far he hasn't ventured that far. All in good time Mannie. It will be there tomorrow, or next week, next month. I did another couple of brushings yesterday - maybe three of them. He let me, and I did keep them short: One knows all too well how he hates that brush.... He was good and patient with me, let me do what I wanted to do. Since he was sick his coat is/was a mess, the brushings really have helped. he seemed to udnerstand when I told him the why. Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. Appy was good: he ate well. CPC!!!!! :cool: 97% Close to normalcy in MannieLand, still working on that last 3%.... :-D :cool:

Have a great day everyone. We are wet and raining here, looks like an indoor take care of the house day today, again. I have a car service appt n the morning, I will hope for a rain break after that so I can hike for a bit. YAY!!!

Hey everybody!! What's up???? I has such fun yesterday on Rusty's radiators... I asked my bean to get us one here. That would be so cool. She kinds looked at me with that funny look on her face. uh? I shall prevail! What do you guys wanna do today? I so hope is is sunny somewhere - I kinda feel the need for sand in my paws... what'd'ya think? A beach day? Hi guys .. Glad to hear that mannie had a good day yesterday and is resuming some of his normal activities like the deck .. These numbers will come down, as you saw yesterday :-D Let's just hope he decides to take his time this time around! Have a great day guys!

Morning guys sorry for the big B this morning come on down buddy but not too fast like yesterday ok? Happy to hear he is doing good. I brushed Mr Scrabble yesterday too and he gets pretty feisty also but these darn long haired cats look a mess real quick if they don't get brushed! Hope you are able to get out and get a hike in. Yikes on that bounce! Yep, the boy does like to dive and bounce, doesn't he. Sounds like Mannie is doing a bit better...get out there and explore young man!

We are so happy that Mannie is getting back to his old self. Every day is an improvement, even with the bounces. Have a good day today doing all your chores. I hope you get out for a shore hike. Our snowshoe was cancelled--really bad weather on the way.

Mannie Barista, that tripple shot couldn't have come at a better time! It is so good. And we are glad you're feeling better. Time to start that slow slide, OK?

Morning Michelle, sorry on the HI, but we know Mannie will come down soon, right Mannie buddy, as soon as you run all those deliveries. ~O) It sounds like every day he's getting back to his routine, like the deck, and soon the yard. It's been so rainy and cold that I bet he's waiting for better weather. Cute on breffifs and Mannie looking for chicken. It's funny as often I will eat lunchtime food for breffifs and then have a real breffifs later. :lol: I think it helps keep my weight down.

Still HI at +2 wow, and what a bounce. He is eating well, LB is good, and normal. He is a little slow moving this morning, but I believe that is from the awful BG's. I just did a ketone test: negative.

I knew I'd get a bounce this morning, but really hoped it wouldn't be this bad.... it is like days of old, right after his DX where we had such bounces and dives. He is back in LTS. ;-) He is slowly getting back to regular things - and yes on the weather. Most of the time he doesn't venture out when it is cold, never really has, short of now and then. It was good to see him want to yesterday. Breffis was fun - and I like your way of doing things! why not! :-D THX - I hope i get out too. paws crossed!

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, he is better. There are few tings that lead me to believe that he still has a ways to go, that he still is recovering. but overall, looking much better than two weeks ago. So far it looks like it will be another bupe free day - he did good yesterday without it.

Hey Mannie,

I can't believe you don't like brushes. I LOVE brushes. It's the bestest thing ever invented! I demand brushes all the time from my bean and she get lazy a lot so I have to brush myself, which is never as much fun as having the bean do it. Maybe your bean doesn't know how to brush you proper. How about you have my bean brush you. I bet you will love brushes then.

And my bean said it's snowing and going to be icy today. So, let's get out of this mess and go where it is warm and the sun can shine on my fur and warm me up. I just finished my breffis and had a quick wash, so I'm ready to go.

Oh and Buster was a piggle yesterday. She ate the entire mouse pizza all by herself! I barely got a sniff and it was gone! No wonder my bean calls her a weeble! She says weebles wobble yet they can't fall down. Funny, Buster falls down and then can't turn or get up. I think she needs that alert button! :lol: :lol:

Wagon is packed and I'm ready to go.

Hi Wendy - Oh I know... me too on the being glad to see pink, but today it was a relief.... :roll: I will have to tell Mannie to look for Neko, as long as he doesn't hold her up. And no - didn't get out. That weather break we were supposed to get never did show, in fact it just keeps raining at the same intensity... alot of wet, a cold wet too! bummer!

Hi Pat - that it is - I am glad he seems to be taking his time to get there. That dive last night set up this morning, painful as it was... Ad yes, things are better - YAY! Me too on the brushings - he really needs them so we do a little each day. He seems to e OK with that, and doesn't let me have it. :lol:

Yay!!! Mannie feels a little better everyday! His numbers will come down.. Won't they Mannie, sweetheart!! I don't know what those kitties did at the beach today, but Ollie has seaweed ALL over the house. He keeps mumbling about "WAYYYY TOO MUCH FUN!" and something about chasing crabs and bungee jumping. He's got pictures on the camera of Mannie on a kite. What's with that??

Mannie, WHOOO HOO!! You make the best plans for kitteh fun! I'm gonna be asleep early. Tired Tired Tired and i want to be ready first thing for tomorrow's fun.

Hi Kathie - I think so too. I so hope he has a good PM cycle. Looking for those yellow and blues tonight. The +11 was rather flat line, but he usually is up at the test anywyas. Guess we shall see what he decides to do. :-D

Hi Carla - Me too on the slide. I think so too on the brushing. it's always a battle with him, that when he let me do it, i found it to be a good sign. I think our furkids know when we are trying to help them.

I know what happened today! Maui came home with seaweed in her wagon and the remnants of a kite. I asked her what happened and after a lot of "I didn't see nuthin mom", I finally got the truth out of her.

It seems that Tess brought a kite and everyone tied Mannie to it to try to pull him down to the blues. They thought if he flew in the blue sky, he would turn blue and all would be good...Maui said that at first Mannie didn't want to be tied to the kite and was scared to fly so high, but up he went and he squealed and screamed and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

Regarding the seaweed, Rusty got new recipes to make Japanese food and it required cooking with seaweed. The kittehs went a little overboard and took all the seaweed they could find and it was a lot. Oliver thought it was catnip and tried to hoard it as he rolled around pretending to get high. He then brought it home thinking he could dry it out and it would be primo later.

Maui brought a wagonful home in the hopes she could dry it out and use it in her nipjitos and niptinis.

I don't think Oliver intended to make a mess of the house...silly kittehs
