Hi Sue and thank you so much for the clarification.
It is so true, the vet sends you home with 2U and no home testing. My previous vet however sent me home with 1U once a day and depending on the BG level which meant changing the dose every day, totally absurd.
Anyway, hoping that you feel a little better today. If still not 100% yourself just yet, allow me to put a smile on your face. The allergy test results for Chanel are in and among other things, she is extremely allergic to fleas (who isn't?

) and dogs and highly allergic to CATS...hahahahaha I was laughing a lot yesterday, talking to someone at the testing office and she was worried that maybe Chanel is not the only cat I have and even worse I may have dogs too. Some other things came as positive allergens, some that I knew of like milk, but unfortunately she is allergic to goat's milk so bye bye Vital Essential LC dry food. The list of allergens also include the barley grass and catnip (and now I know why she did not like the catnip plant that I used to have in the apartment to repel the fleas). She is also allergic to pork and duck, fish and rabbit and turkey gibblets. It is a lot to take in and the lady also suggested to lay off the dry food since most of the allergens are part of the dry food. Oddly enough, the dry food she likes now does have the least allergic ones, but yes I will have to get into cooking and testing some raw and taking the dry food out gradually. I may be never able to do so 100% but if I can get her to eat just a few kibbles a day as a treat, it would still be a win. Today amps she was 406 which is high but hey it is the dry food and she was happy as a button jumping and running after her balls and coming to kiss us before we went for work. I guess I have my work cut out for me.
