Doodles 1/27 Doodles has been getting a tsp of canned chicken at AMPS & PMPS. He seems a little confused about eating on his own even though the food is out for him. I use to leave Moo's food out because she would nibble on the left over wet food and he never touched it so this doesn't surprise me. Last night at PM +4.5 he came to me looking for food when it was right behind him in the usual food spot. I had to go sit with him for a minute and he started digging in.

Sending more vines to tiffmaxee and all others in need.

Sounds like you've become Doodles dinner-buddy! Trix is the same way now...when she had nasty p-titis a couple years ago, I had to hold the plate to encourage her to eat, and that "stuck"...she'll eat a little bit without me, but for the most part, I have to old the plate, repile food, present it to her, etc, etc, etc. Who says cats can't train humans ?

Further evidence that our cats have their own message board where they post the latest tips and tricks on training their beans. They probably have forums on "How to get your bean to feed you whatever and whenever" and "How to shock your bean with crazy BGs."

OMG Boomer must have been on those forums @Mandarin'sMom !!!
Boomer likes me to fork-feed him yup he'll wake me in the middle of the night and when I get up to check his dish he's purring around and rubbing up against my legs but won't eat unless I fork-feed him! Sometimes I only have to do it a couple of times and he'll take over on his own.
They do have us trained!

We trained Snick to come tell me when she was getting her dinner. This only works when Dh feeds her. He starts making her food and she will run over and meow, telling me she is getting food. She will come over between 1 and 3 times. After 12 yrs Milton finally picked up the trick, too...lol.

Happy he's staying blue but having a hard time with these higher numbers. How is his pancreas suppose to heal keeping him above 90 ???? BTW, I did give him 1/2 can FF at +6 and he ate about 1/2. My head is spinning and tears are falling. Sorry, another little breakdown, he's doing fine BTW.

Sorry that you're having a tough day, Karen. You are so in tune with Doodles, I am sure he will let you know what is right for him and what he is happiest with. He is a lucky boy that he has such a great bean as his mom.

I have a shop kitty that I has to assist feed years ago as she had upper respiratory infection--now years laters she craves me feeding with a syringe…silly cat!! Glad to hear Doodles is eating and feeling well !
