Good evening,

seems we are out of luck. I wrote to my vet in the morning about Binies wobbly legs, her high bg and strange reactions the evening before. She thinks that this is a severe adverse reaction to the antibiotics with neurological symptoms. She told me to stop the antibiotics immediately. I did not expect this.

I am scared and sad because we are running out of options. I really hope that six days was enough to clear the infection but I am not optimistic. We have two other antibiotics in our tool box but they are both nasty and I would hate to give them.

I am still waiting for the new urine test results but most likely they will be the same as in December.

Binie feels better today, is walking normally again and not showing this scratching/biting behavior like the night before. Her bg was high the whole day. I am happy I increased and at +3 she already saw yellow again.

I hope all cats and servants are well! :bighug::kiss::bighug:

Thank you so much Staci! :bighug::kiss::bighug: She is almost herself again today. If she would stay like this for ever, I would be already grateful. Send you so much for the love and the hugs! We are grateful for them and send the same to you and sweet fluffball Ivy! :bighug::cat::bighug:

Thank you so much Colleen! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Unfortunately I think the vet is right. :( The reaction started just when the highest concentration of the antibiotics was reached in the blood. I just wonder, why her body produces so many adverse reactions. Three antibiotics she can not take any more. Skin tac wipes. It's strange. On the other hand it seems she can eat anything without problems.

I send hugs to you and the boys too! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you so much Deb for checking on us! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Dry air is definitely a thing here too. But it was clear yesterday, that it was more than that. :(

I saw Tiger has seen beautiful blue numbers!:cool::cool: I am happy for you! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Glad Binie is feeling better--fingers crossed that the antibiotic did its thing in the short amount of time she was able to tolerate it.

Heike, I'm so sorry that sweet Binie has been going through a difficult time. I'm glad she feels more comfortable today, and I hope a longer-term solution can be found. Sending hugs to both of you :bighug::bighug::bighug:
