Good Morning Everyone,

We are starting out much better than yesterday and hope that this is a sign that Rusty will be back in better numbers all day today. We all had a good night. Rusty slept soundly with us and didn't even get up in the middle of the night to eat the rest of his nighttime food (I took it up first thing this morning). Good breakfast (1st sitting so far), good play with Big Bug (if a bit shorter than usual, but he had energy today, unlike yesterday). 5 Ps accounted for. I think that yesterday Rusty was simply tired from his long trip. I'll continue to watch him.
Once again, the big snowstorm avoided us and hit NYC and the coast. We are really glad we came home on Tuesday! We had a nice ski yesterday at the x-country area, which has wide trails for beginners like Edward to practice on. He fell on his bad shoulder and will stay home today while I go skiing this afternoon with our friends on more challenging trails in the woods. Edward and Rusty will have a fine afternoon together.

Everyone have a good day today. I hope that all is well in LL and am off to visit some condos.

Ouch. Hope he is okay. Enjoy your skiing today.

Rusty is looking so much better. Glad he's acting perkier and more like his old self today too. I'll be checking in to see what his numbers do.

Lucky you avoiding the snow. NYC is keeping all the snow this year. I'm loving it ;) Its almost February and we've had our snowblower out once this year.

Nice amps for Rusty. I enjoy hearing about his morning play sessions. :-D
That snow seems to have avoided us too, down here. Whew! These temps in the 20's are easy to take too, after the sub zero's last week.

Rusty! Better morning for you - YAY! I am glad that he has come down for you today Ella. I suspect that you are right - he was just tired from the trip.

Sorry for Edward's fall and his shoulder - I hope he feels better today. It is nice that you were able to get out yesterday, and will again today. Good fortune too that you returned home before more snows hit nyc. I just can't believe the winter they are having.

Rusty!!!! I feel so much better!!!! What's up for today? Any KTSS duties? I am ready for anything.... ~~ Mannie

Good morning! It's great to see Rusty looking better. I also think he was just tired from travel yesterday. Maybe he could act as a heating pad and lie on Edward's shoulder while you're away skiing today? :lol: I sympathize with Edward- my motto is "just strap the skis to my butt because that is how I'm going to end up anyway"!

Hi again,
Rusty had a nice, green surf today and he and Edward had some good plays (with Red Ears) and a good grooming session while I was out x-country skiing with friends. We were in deep woods on narrow trails and the trees, laden with snow, were beautiful. The skiing was terrific: lots of ups and downs and quite challenging. We skied about 8 or 9 miles. I got home in the late afternoon to find my boys both asleep! When we tested Rusty we got the PMPS of 81! It is so nice to see these better numbers again.

Ella, when I Googled Red Ears, I got lots of links to ear infection problems. :lol: I'm always looking for something new for my boys to play with. Wanna tell?

What a beautiful day for Rusty!!! And that PMPS is awesome!! So glad he is seeing some green today ....I bet he has been glad to be back home.

Your skiing sounds wonderful today....it bet is is just gorgeous! Now you can enjoy a quiet night by the fire with your two best guys!

Wow, those are some enviable numbers your Rusty has! And lucky you that he is such a good traveler, too. That is kind of unusual for a cat. I bet you started him at a young age, didn't you? I'm also wondering about Big Bug and Red Ears. Do share!
 
Hi, Answers to the questions above:

Rusty is just a good traveler. He has lived with us only since November (but Phoebe had him out in her car on a leash a few times to see how he did, since she knew we wanted to take him with us on trips). We have always expected our cats to be good travelers and so far they all have been! They all have ridden free in the car (no carrier).
Big Bug = my name for the Cat Dancer toy (small rolls of cardboard on a wire).
Red Ears = a toy mouse that is all head, no body, with large red ears and red tail. It was Stu's, and Rusty has taken quite a liking to it. I have it on a string and we play "Cat's Cradle" with it. Rusty likes the string end better than the mouse end!!

Nice day for Rusty - even nicer numbers, so good to see a steady green. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

The ski adventure sounds wonderful. I so wish there was somewhere closer to here - I think it would be something I'd really like.
