Good morning,
Mookie had a short but sweet drop into blue and then green last night. His bounce this morning isn't as bad as it has been, so fingers crossed he'll drop down for a while today.
I'm still trying to figure out what and when to feed Mookie. Many of the low-carb foods that are favored for FD are higher in fat than some of the medium-carb foods. Because fat aggravates his pancreatitis, not all the recommended low carb foods for FD are appropriate for him. I read recently that for those cats who have both FD and pancreatitis it's best to treat the pancreatitis first, with a low-fat, medium-carb diet, and the FD second, with however much insulin it takes to offset the extra carbs. Once again it's trial and error and tweaking here and there.
Meanwhile, it's the start of the weekend -- enjoy!
