No surprise, it's morning, so of course Willie is blue! I'm staying home today b/c i can't seem to kick this cold and it is being a particular pest this morning. Our day is off to an eventful start. Willie woke me up for breffis with a gentle face pat, we did our pokes then headed out for breffis. L'Herbie was noticeably absent, and I spent a good 5 minutes searching for her, just getting to that point of sheer panic, when down she pops from the kitchen window (which is an off-limits area).
After finishing his fuds, Willie came btb with me. About 8:30, a chagrined Herbie came in to inform us that it was, in fact, time to get up. Poor Willie was out cold when she pounced on him! A couple hisses sent her on her way, though she'd come back and whine at us.... I'z bored!! Why nobody iz up playing wif me???? Helllloooooo?????
Finally, the chirps turn more to hungry pleas for second breffis, with Willie making eating faces in his sleep.    Second breffis consumed, and because it is a beautiful day, I told Willie he could go outside. She did everything he could to head him off at the pass! I got the stinkeye for the suggestion. Willie came back in, greeted with chortles and coos and a once over to make sure he was, in fact, intact. Though, her obsession with grooming is starting to crack me up. Poor Willie went to use the litter box, only to return with Herbie following closely behind, inspecting to make sure all was in order down there.    All said, though, Herbie has really started to become much more affectionate over the past week... enjoying not just attention, but pets, cuddles, etc. Just in small doses!
Oh... and still no new pen. I didn't realize that the vet only called in one refill of 5 pens in July, and I'm just hoping that we don't have all the drama we had last time. Thankfully, there's still a few days worth of juice left in this pen, so I'm hoping to just keep him in blues until then. My own fault for not paying more attention. If there's a problem, I think I can now get our new vet to call in a new one (they called in the refill before). The problem in July was that they had only seen Willie for a rabies shot. But now, they've seen him several times and I know that Willie's vet has a better understanding of how i handle his care and that I'm knowledgeable and know what I'm doing (even if it isn't the approach she would necessarily take).
Apparently, I'm being blessed with even more btb cuddles... Willie just came in and snuggled all up next to me. Makes being sick much more tolerable!
