Hi Everyone,
That was a quick trip! We took a long look at the weather prognosis and decided to beat it outta there while it was still possible. So we packed up and left the city by 9:30 A,M. It was a good decision. The city is shut down tonight-- no transit, major roads closed, even the NYS Thruway from NYC to Albany has been closed. Our dentist cancelled our appointment. He lives in New Rochelle, exactly in the storm track.

So our good traveler, Rusty, had a chance to show us what a terrific traveler he is. It was a good trip. Here in the Adirondacks it is clear and very cold. Tonight we are going to watch the episode of Downton Abbey that we taped. Veggging out. Consecutive 6+ hour drives are a lot!

Hope everyone affected by it is staying safe in the storm,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Kitties, so sorry we couldn't do our NY City adventure. But the "rain" (snow) date will be in early March. Stay tuned!
Rusty

I bet Rusty is glad to be back to his radiators and on your lap to watch TV tonight. Those are long back to back drives! Good decision to be safe at home.

Oh thank goodness. You were on my mind as I was watching the snowmageddon coverage on TV. I really hoped that you had headed back for home. So glad that you made it back safely.

P.S. I am loving Downton Abbey this season. Good episode last night.

Enjoy Downton Abbey. DK, Don and I watched it tonight too. Mikey was busy beating up a couple of catnip toys on the floor. Gotta keep those nip toys in line.

I'm glad you headed right back home. Vegging out sounds good after all that driving.

I's got a busfull of kittehs bundled in scarves, hats and mittens and buried in fleece. Look out the window! We's gonna party ing the barn instead! I's not driving everyone home tonight! -- Tess

Glad you made it back home today! For us in Central NJ it looks like the storm is fizzling out (thank goodness), but definitely better safe than sorry! Enjoy the vegging and being home!

You guys have been on my mind all day, as I keep hearing about the storm coming. I'm glad you bailed outta there and are safe at home. Cinco says he'll take the rain check on the hot dogs.

Ella- Thank goodness you made it home safely- that's brutal- back to back 6 hr drives, but definitely better to be safe than sorry! :bighug::bighug: ....besides, Rusty wanted to back on top of the radiator!
