Hi All,
late night for this bean last night...making sure he was ok.

AM BG 95=NS

i managed to get him out of the tub last night for about 3 1/2 hrs...but he went back in at 1:15 am...i tucked him in there and i went to bed...got up at 2:30 to feed him...he ate ok...

tough morning as i've had very little sleep...i am physically drained let alone mentally....he had a dose of bupe last night and i think that's why he was out from the tub for a bit...

for his am bg testing i found him again sitting meatloaf position in the LB....that's where i tested and that's where i brought his food...after he ate he stayed there for 10 mins then got up and went back to the tub....

when DH gets ready to go to work...i take Rocket into the spare room...he managed to sleep in my arms for 1 hr...

this morning he got the second dose of bupe and he is in the tub...i put one of his beds there with lots of blankets this time...making sure he is comfy...keep peeking to see if he is ok...i touched him a while back and he is pretty toasty....under the blankets...

i hope i get answers soon from the vet...but i have a feeling it's not hyperthyroid...i think there is more to it...my gut tells me so...

will report later....i try to get in 10 mins here 20 mins there of sleep but it's pretty hard to even relax....

please continue to pray for us...i feel so helpless....

Continued prayers for you guys - so sorry this has been such a long battle. I hope the vet can give you some answers soon, too. In the meantime, try to get rest and just enjoy being with Rocket. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

I love that he slept in your arms for an hour. That is precious time.

Listen, he is not shaking, he is eating, ok he likes the tub, but he's not as normal as he was..OK this is still improvement!!
I take every moment I have with my kitties as precious as I know you do..I see Rocket improving-- OK so he's not perfect, but he IS better--
Please try to look at the positive changes, and take one day, even one hour at a time...
Believe me Claudia, everyone here has been praying for Rocket & sending all we have in our hearts--And We Will continue to do so!!

Is there any way you can push for your vet to consult with an internal medicine specialist? If you are thinking there's something else going on and it's too far to get to a vet school, perhaps your vet can consult with a specialist. This has been going on for so long without any answers, I would think your vet would welcome a set of fresh eyes looking at Rocket's history and symptoms.

Claudia, I don't know if you have done this before, or what you think of doing it ... but have you ever thought about getting in touch with an animal communicator? There might be some answers to some of your questions in one of those conversations .. just throwing that out there .. and will continue to keep you all in our prayers ...

not much to say...nothing has changed...tub...LB...back to tub...

i again managed to get him out of the tub and he slept again 1 1/2 hrs in my arms....

spoke to vet...gave her full report....thyroid test not back yet...

going to see the IM vet this Friday at 1 pm.....i asked her if she could do the consult and let me know what the im vet said....unfortunately it doesn't work like that here...the im vet needs to see him...however the referral the vet is writing up she told me she wants to make sure she talks to the IM vet BEFORE she sees Rocket and when he is at the IM apt she will be available if the im vet has questions....

so this is where we are now...

couldn't get anything sooner....but she did warn me that it may not be fixable...which breaks my heart...but i won't think that way....i will be positive that something can be done....now counting the minutes until friday comes....

Claudia, I'm thinking positive thoughts for you and Rocket. They are our children. We are bonded with them unconditionally and need them well for us to be well. If it is something not fixable, its better that you know. But we are all wishing its something fixable. Please give him a hug from me. You are doing everything humanly possible.

Even though I haven't been on the board posting every day, I've been keeping you in my thoughts....sending vines and snowflakes and hoping the IM vet will have some answers for you.

not sure what else to say...it is heart breaking seeing him there...he no longer comes to the bedroom...

Yeah!!!!! I'm so glad your vet gave you the referral to the Internal Medicine vet :RAHCAT , and that you are able to be seen on Friday. I'm sorry I haven't posted lately, it took about 10 days for Whiskers and I to get seen at the U of M internal medicine vet, and that was Yesterday and and the day before (Tues and Wed), so we have been busy.

I so excited you will be going to the IM vet, and continue to keep You, your DH and Rocket in our thoughts and prayers.

Hang in there, you are doing a great job. What a good bean you are :mrgreen: .
 
keeping you and Rocket in my thoughts and prayers....and giving Roni a huge :thumbup on her post. The little things count...every little improvement is something to celebrate. Try to keep a positive outlook on things, you will feel much better.
