Happy Caturday!!! Thoughts and well wishes to JD, Boots, Noni, Mannie, Moonie, Do Lou, Zener, Ripley, Bubba and get well to Liz, Anne, Carla, and PF's mamabean, Donna.
Nice blue surf yesterday morning and then a bounce last night. Still working on clearing it today. But we've had a whopping fun morning with lots of play and purrs and, of course, all the requisite fuds. It has been pouring down rain off and on since early morning and so little brown baby girl and mama got in some extra cuddles lying there listening to the rain on the skylights and outside. Like many in Tucson, we have expanded steel doors on the outside of the entry doors around the house so we can leave the doors open for the breeze most of the year (except summer) and not worry about critters trying to get in....like bobcats. I had the door from the mbr to the patio open, as usual, last night and it was so lovely to hold my purr baby girl and listen to the rain. Of course.....then who wants to get up?
Thank you all who visited yesterday and gave us support over this issue with her ALT. Especially Amy who shared Mario's info about his liver enzymes. Yesterday, I went back through all her bloodwork since she was 5 months old and did a SS for her liver values, cholesterol, and triglycerides. Even since she was little, her ALT has tended to bump up to a little over 100 (100 is the high end of normal) but then come down. Her other enzymes have stayed in the normal range except the time that her ALT shot up to over 300 when she was dx with the bile duct infection. On her last bw where the ALT had come back up to 212 after dropping to 103, the AST was normal but was edging up. So it seems like it is fairly normal for her to be in the 100-125 range as she has done it since she was a baby. But to be in the 200s/300s...well, it's only been recent since we've detected those. No way to know if, at other times, she's gone up and come back down. My neighbor called me this morning and we were discussing it. She said that she has a benign liver syndrome....no symptoms, no longterm effects...but her liver values are always elevated. We can hope this is just Gracie. They will recheck her ALT and other liver enzymes the same day they do the serum bile acid assay...Feb 7.
Have a wonderful day!!
