Happy Caturday!!! Thoughts and well wishes to JD, Boots, Noni, Mannie, Moonie, Do Lou, Zener, Ripley, Bubba and get well to Liz, Anne, Carla, and PF's mamabean, Donna.

Nice blue surf yesterday morning and then a bounce last night. Still working on clearing it today. But we've had a whopping fun morning with lots of play and purrs and, of course, all the requisite fuds. It has been pouring down rain off and on since early morning and so little brown baby girl and mama got in some extra cuddles lying there listening to the rain on the skylights and outside. Like many in Tucson, we have expanded steel doors on the outside of the entry doors around the house so we can leave the doors open for the breeze most of the year (except summer) and not worry about critters trying to get in....like bobcats. I had the door from the mbr to the patio open, as usual, last night and it was so lovely to hold my purr baby girl and listen to the rain. Of course.....then who wants to get up?

Thank you all who visited yesterday and gave us support over this issue with her ALT. Especially Amy who shared Mario's info about his liver enzymes. Yesterday, I went back through all her bloodwork since she was 5 months old and did a SS for her liver values, cholesterol, and triglycerides. Even since she was little, her ALT has tended to bump up to a little over 100 (100 is the high end of normal) but then come down. Her other enzymes have stayed in the normal range except the time that her ALT shot up to over 300 when she was dx with the bile duct infection. On her last bw where the ALT had come back up to 212 after dropping to 103, the AST was normal but was edging up. So it seems like it is fairly normal for her to be in the 100-125 range as she has done it since she was a baby. But to be in the 200s/300s...well, it's only been recent since we've detected those. No way to know if, at other times, she's gone up and come back down. My neighbor called me this morning and we were discussing it. She said that she has a benign liver syndrome....no symptoms, no longterm effects...but her liver values are always elevated. We can hope this is just Gracie. They will recheck her ALT and other liver enzymes the same day they do the serum bile acid assay...Feb 7.

Have a wonderful day!!

We hope you all don't melt in the desert rains, you are made of sugar after all! Paws crossed for the assay and we hope it is only ECID! :YMHUG:

We hope it is ECID, too! Wow on having bobcats come into your yard!! They are such elusive animals here in the Eastern mountains.

Enjoy your rainy day. We are still in the deep freeze.

Lots of hugs to the whole crew, and don't forget the Full Wolf Moon Party tonight at Camp Stu! Tobey, especially, will be in his element.

Cats always surprise us with their out of range bw values. It's amazing how they can manage. Too often my volunteer friends got stray cats, took to vet for bw & was surprised by their anatomy (through x-ray) & their bw values. Cats are mysterious animals.
You are a great mom Marje. I wonder how many human mummy do health & bw tracking on their kids. My salute!
Dont worry, baby girl is purrrfect! Relax & enjoy the weekend.

Hi Marje. It looks like Gracie is going to the full moon party. Hope she returns to the green lagoon when the party is over.

Fingers crossed for an "All's good" vet report on the 7th.

Have a great day.
