It's Hump day again..wow...where did that week go? Healing vines going out in full measure to Sooty, Rocket, and Mannie! We want them all back and 100% soon.

WCR: 4Ps in place. UGH on the numbers since the reduction but Gracie seems to feel fine: chirpy, sweet, happy little girl who seemed surprised that her mamabean was
not home last night and went to bed with me when I did get home. I adore this little girl....I know you all know the incredulous look on peoples' faces when they hear the amount of time, patience, dedication it takes to really take care of a FD kitty. Oh well....our kitty, our lives, our choice and we choose to work hard to get her better.

Thanks for all the wishes last night for big winnings in bunco. I actually did win enough to buy some test strips, Ann and Sienne :lol: :lol: :lol: It was alot of fun and it was so nice to hook up with the girls for good food and talk. Celi...I saw the "Girls Night Out" figure...what website did it come from? :lol: :lol: Dare I ask?

Well...off to TBP. I will probably not have time to visit condos today but hope you and your babies are all well. Have a great day.

Congrats on the winnings. I think when you say to people the amount of time it takes to manage FD... Gracie really makes you two work :mrgreen:

bummer on the 340, but I bet it won't be there long. congrats too on the dosecrease - I hope she will like the new dose, she certainly has earned it.

how did Gracie's appt yesterday go? nice that the trip didn't affect her BG too badly.

thanks too for checking in on us last night. Mannie will get his meds this morning, once the vet's office has it ready. Boy does this ever explain what has been going on with this kitty for the past few weeks.... one has to really know these stoic cats that never tell you: "uhhhh mom? i have a problem...."

DH here - slow start today. It is always amazing to me that a reduction of a tiny little drop can have such an effect on her numbers. Hopefully when she gets past the ndw and vetty effect she will get back to bidness. We haven't had much luck on this dose in the past.

Glad to see Miss Gracie's PM number is down from this morning's! Loving that you are using your bunco winnings to pay for test strips... totally sounds like something I would do (hmmm... I think hamburger mary's has bingo on Thursdays here....)

I hear you on the strange looks on the FD time suck... i'm blessed to have good friends who understand and admire what I'm doing for Willie, so that really helps.

Marjorie, just had to comment on 'the look' from people when I, softly and a little bit embarrassed say, 'i am sorry i'm late,...or i can't make it at that time...cause i have to test/feed my kitty'
sometimes when talking to a friend i still am shy about saying...'well, you know, i can't really join you becuase, well, you know, i have to be here with tom'
In truth this is where I want to be...Here With Tom!
On the other paw...it is an easy out when you actually don't want to do something...'sorry, it's my cat...gotta stay home' :mrgreen:

DH here - another slow night so far. She food spiked up to about 290 at 1.5, and now has started back down a little. I'll test her again at +5 when she gets her 1% snack. Hope she keeps coming down. When people look at me like I've got two heads as I explain the whole FD thing, I tell them if they ever get sick, I hope they have someone that loves them as much as we love Gracie to help them get better. Usually that shuts them up (sometimes they want to fight). :-D

Hi Marjorie, DH, and Gracie,

I totally agree, it is amazing the strong bond we develope with our kitties. I think they feel all the love and care and kitty say's right back at cha.
