Yesterday

Cobb got a night off from getting poked after his +2 past night showed he was clearly in the middle of a bounce. Ugh...but he's coming down nicely.

Cobb seems fine this morning. He is eating well. I did find him in an odd spot this morning...came downstairs and he was in the closet under the stairs, in his carrier! Weird...

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday! Healing vines to all who need them!

Hi Suzanne,
They never cease to surprise (and delight?) us. Is the carrier a security blanket?
What a fine surf Cobb had yesterday. And how well he is coming down from the bounce. Rusty is happy to have him on the Yellow Team for curling practice this morning.

Have a fine day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299

No idea about the carrier. It's the first time I've seen him do it. But he was in there yesterday. The carrier is in the closet that we go to when there's a tornado warning. When we saw the door open and him in it, Matt looks at me and the turns back to Cobb and says, "umm, buddy, do you know something we don't? Do we need to come in there too?"

Cobb is ready! Rusty needs to whip him into shape...Cobb is kinda lazy. It's been awhile since he's had the energy to go curling!

Ah, these kitties love to make us scratch our heads in many ways, don't they? I'm glad Cobb is working on breaking his bounce...keep working that juice, little guy!

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299

Good Morning ~O) ~O)
Nice to see Cobb has returned from the highlands. And look at last week - no red! flip_cat

We keep BKs carrier in a closet and he loves to be let into the closet to snoop around. If the carrier door is open he will get right in. I'm thankful for that.
One of our GA civies, Allie, was the polar opposite. If she even saw the carrier she would hide somewhere.

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299 +4 288

Looks like Cobb is holding steady in the yellow today. Not much movement. I'll grab another test around +6 or +7, but will give him a bit of a break unless something drastically changes.

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299 +4 288

I agree with Julie - if that's as high as Cobb is going to bounce, that's great!

Nice on the pokie breaks - I hope you got sleep last night too.

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299 +4 288

Compared to Cobb's old history of bouncing to the stratosphere, yellow's are great! He's clearing his bounces so much faster too!

Funny (and a little strange) on the carrier, but don't read too much into it...maybe he was feeling a little insecure and just wanted some "quiet time"...Sundays are good for that!

My cats will go willingly into the carrier...unless they have an appointment for the vet that day. How they know the difference is one of those great cat mysteries!!

Have a great Sunday, Suzanne, and hope you got some sleep last night! Sure would be nice to get Cobb and Matty to both agree to give you a night off!

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299 +4 288

Thanks! We did get some sleep...well, until Matt left for work this morning at 5:30. (We're still trying to transition him to his crib without leaving him to cry...NOT going well). Matty thought it was time to get up too. I tried to rock him back to sleep but nothing. So I put him in his pack and play (which is in our room) and laid down for another hour or so while he played by himself. I definitely needed some ~O) ~O) ~O) this morning but haven't had any since we started trying to have kids...two years. Yeah...two years without coffee. How did I do it?!?!

Cobb is having a lazy day. He does seem a tad hungrier than usual. But he's decided to be a PITA and start jumping on the kitchen counters. I guess this will be the kick I need to always keep the kitchen spotless. If for no other reason than to keep Cobb out of any kind of contraband.

Re: 1/26 Cobb AMPS 299 +4 288

Welcome to the yellow floor, Cobb. Cinco's been waiting for you here. He just doesn't want to go down another level, either. I guess it's better than the pink floor, huh? Maybe this evening you can both check out the blue floor. I hear it's really fun. :-D

I've never had a kitty that went into its carrier voluntarily, except right after I bring one back from the vet - one or more of the others will go into the carrier to see where the cat has been, but they come out quickly as soon as I approach! All I have to do is open the door of one of the carriers, and any cat in the vicinity disappears! Harvey is very good at going spread eagle and putting all four feet around the outside of the door!  I have to allow an extra half hour anytime he's going somewhere, just to catch him and get him in to the carrier.

Hope you have a nice day, Suzanne, with no tornadoes in sight!

Well, it looks like Cobb got lost again. That green floor must have turned him around. Perhaps he'll find his way back soon. I'm exhausted so I'm going to close my eyes. Hopefully I'll wake up for a +2 or +3.

I hope you have a nice nap, and wake up to some yellows...or blues ;-) Chyna used to like her carrier, till her dental and overnight stay on IV at the vet :? . Now if it's on the floor she avoids the entire room it's in  Have a nice evening!

cobb's not going to need tending for low numbers tonight, suzanne. sleep when you can. my overwhelming memory of having little kids is exhaustion. and i didn't have a diabetic cat.
