Alright China....am I going to have to issue another dosecrease threat to get your attention?

Now I'm not complaining (much) about the high green nadirs, but I know you can do better...and what's with that AMPS this morning?? Too close to yellow, young lady!! (insert stern mama voice here)

Let's see if we can do a little better, huh?

OT...I'm about to go strangle a lawyer....do you think I'd have any problems finding representation??
My 86 year old DM called me last night about 5pm and her heat was out in her apartment (she has one heater in the living room and one in the bedroom...the living room was out). I tried to call her landlord's office (he's a lawyer) and they were gone for the day so the only thing I could really suggest was she stay in her bedroom where it was warm (but she has no TV in there). Had her call the maintenance man (which went to voice mail) and he never called her back so she woke up to a cold apartment. Her cleaning lady came this morning and turned her oven on so at least she's have a little heat on that side of the apartment but as of 10am, still no word from the maintenance man so I called the lawyer's office again. They said they'd call the heating man...it's now 3pm and still nobody has been there to fix her heat:mad::mad::mad:

If they don't get there soon, I'm packing her up, taking her to the most expensive hotel I can get to and checking her in....and taking the cost out of her February rent
 
I hope you get your mum's heating problems sorted soon, disgusting that the maintenance people choose to ignore an elderly lady with hardly any heat :eek:
 
Oh oh, China. Someone's making threats. Hmmmm? Whatcha going to do about that.

Crumby landlord! Aren't there tenant rights? Bet if the rent is late that attorney gets in contact with his tenant quickly. Good luck getting action....and retribution!

Looks like the dosecrease threat worked again....maybe a little too well!

69 at PMPS China? Really??...Silly kitty!!!

The heating repair guy finally showed up at almost 5:30pm, so at least DM has heat again!! I still think it's ridiculous that an 86 year old woman had to spend the night trapped in her bedroom just to stay warm....the maintenance man never has called her back either!!

Going to have a discussion with the lawyers office when I go in to pay the rent next month, that's for sure!! I want a phone number that will be answered 24/7...wonder what he would have done if it had been a water break after hours?

Your mom shouldn't have to go through that. How ridiculous! At least you should have an idea of when things will be fixed, not to mention a sincere apology.

Made it to Tan-Tar-A tonight. I'm interested to see what it looks like in the daylight! :)
 
Now she's surfing :D:D:D..but I have to admit I pulled out the 7% instead of holding her with the 4%....does it really make any difference? Couldn't tell you for sure, but it makes the bean feel better and sometimes that's all that counts

Have to giggle @marniepaul & miles ...when I said earlier that if they didn't get DM's heat fixed soon I was going to take her to the most expensive hotel I could get to, I was thinking Tan-Tar-A!!

It's getting older, but they keep it in pretty good shape from what I have heard!!

This is horrible! Goo luck with getting an emergency number. And hope China surfs safely tonight.
 
Okay, I'll reveal my ignorance. I had to look up Tan-Tar-A. I recommend you take her there!!! And me, too! :joyful:

Good luck fighting the lawyer & his staff. I'll put my money on you.

China, you sure took Mama's threat to heart! Gave her just what she asked for. Good job!:D
