Not too bad. Hopefully he'll be blue all day.

I asked the vet about the Libre that some people are using. He said it was more for people who can't / won't test by blood and it's not any more accurate than a regular meter. Since Leroy's numbers aren't bad, vet doesn't recommend changing meters. He did say I can stop daily testing but I'm still going to get PS.

I can't believe I totally suck at insulin injections now :banghead: It's hit or miss with 5/16 inch and 1/2 inch needles. The odd thing is, I know I'm getting the needle into the skin. When I remove the needle and check, the fur is dry. I put the insulin syringe on the counter before I stab myself and double check where I injected. And get a wet smear of insulin on a finger. I have no idea how the insulin is leaking out. The roll method doesn't work well. Leroy's neck doesn't tent up very much so it's hard to roll it back to see the skin. I think shaving some fur off is the only way I know for sure where the insulin is going.
