I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. It was a good one here yesterday. It was very much a pool day here yesterday. My DSIL Connie was able to watch William so Nicholas and I could go swim. YAY! We were able to have a morning swim on a FR, and I didn't have to be out late on a Friday night. Nicholas had such a great time in the pool, he always does. Bring on swimming at the Lynnwood Pool! The energy level is endless. I sure wish I had half of what he does. We closed out the session, which is becoming the norm for him. It was nice to be able to spend time with my DMIL after we swam. She is supportive of all the boys whims, Nicholas had a great time hanging out for a few with another one of his grammie's. A long nap followed the visit. requested by me, unwilling conceded by Nicholas. When I heard from him that he still wanted to swim at night at the Mountlake Terrace pool. A nap was so so needed before we tackled another swim session. He did though, and fell sound asleep: swimming is, after all, hard work! This is what I wrote late last night about the day: "well here it is almost 9:30,., and once again on a FR night I am just walking in the door. ;-) Who would have really thought that the little guy would have wanted two swim sessions in one day. But he did, his choice, he brought it up. Seems he feels that FR nights are now swim nights, at the Terrace Pool.  i really didn't mind, so off we went for another session in the pool tonight. non-stop go for both sessions. crazy. he had such fun though, both times. I bet he sleeps well tonight." One of the tings that is so fun about these Friday night swims is the Burger Fest that we have after pool time. Nicholas has come to love it. We dig into cheeseburgers, and french fries, shakes and chocolate cupcakes. There is something to be said for sharing food like that after a busy swim time, in the car, in the dark, with only the dome light on. Great times!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. she still helps me shower: lots of shower door pounding, and sitting on the towels, warming them up for me.  When I got home last night I watched Bug continue to maneuver Lola into runs and romps. That is so fun to watch. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. They seem to have adjusted to the late Friday nights. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. HOWEVER..... I did forget to feed them before I left with the boys... so, no din dins for them until I got home at 9PM.      I was in such trouble. They made sure I knew it: i was late, they were starving, and what was I thinking. Lots of complaints, paws stomping and meowy grumbles! Once fed however i was forgiven, and off the went to play. After I was made to review that blood oath I signed....

Have a great day everyone! I am off with my DD, DSIL, and the boys in a few to the new swimming facility in Snohomish. it is their grand opening today, and lots of things are planned there. They will have facility tours, as well as time for swim too. It should be very busy there, so we all hope that we can get in for the swim slots. We shall see. Even if not, it will be so great to actually get into the place and see how it all flows etc. I can't wait to see Nicholas's reaction. :-D Time permitting, I may go for a short hike though the woods to the shore here once I get home. ;-)

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

I'm sure Nicholas will be so excited to check out a new pool. Oh no on forgetting to feed the kitties. I'm sure they thought they were starving to death.

Re: 1/25 LOOSE LIPS: pool, more pools, & an energized fishie

Hi everyone! I hope your day was a great one. We had such fun today at the new pool. What a GORGEOUS facility!!! Huge crowd, lots of people showed, lines waiting to get in for the open swim at 3. We were 10th in line - WOot! It was really nice to see so many people there. I heard nothing but a great praise from everyone. I thought that their pricing was a little high, Cost me $20.00 to get all four of us in. I will have to check that out. That flow rider is really awesome - so fun to watch people use the boogie broads, etc, Really fun! The only semi "issue" I had was that the beach area is a bit short, the water slide exits a few feet from the edge. In that regard prefer Lynnwood set up: wider beach, long slide exit. Nicholas was too short to use the water cannons - he couldn't reach them. Minor things for sure. Nice hot tub but they won't let the kids under 7 in it - huge disappointment for the little guy.We use that option all the time at the Lynnwood Pool, as well as many other parents with their kids. it was nice to see the family rooms, but found that they were really way too big. NICE (!), but way too big. They had four, and if they had halved the size, still leaving a good sized one they could hvae upped that to 8. Nicholas had the best of times today. William got to go swim too! He seems tom liek the water as much as Nicholas does.   we really had a great time, in what is truly a very nice facility. A very successful opening for them today. Now I so hope the community supports it, and that the aquatics people there support the needs of the community. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrows condo..

Hi Carla - He really was! It was hard for him to wait until the time they actually let people in the water. oh yes too on the kitties - they did! and made sure I knew it!
