It started working about an hour ago and I already have questions…
I see it only goes to 350 on the graph. Right now it says 396, then it lost signal and I restarted Bluetooth and it came back up and just says HI. Now it’s at 400. All this within minutes while writing this.
In the morning I won’t be able to see the actual readings from the during the night if they are over 350? I don’t see any history except the graph for readings? From what I see so far, I will have to look at the screen at the exact time to see anything over 350.
Not sure this will work in that regard for Tiger. He has so much higher numbers than Ivy!
I love the fact it has an alarm, no scanning and that it’s smaller. Not sure why but Tiger has been trying to lick it more than in the past. He never paid too much attention to the other ones. I think he knows mom is jittery today!
I don’t know why his numbers are so high either. Lately his afternoon numbers have been doing good. Hope it’s not the sensor…probably just the vet visit and reward treats after, he’s had a rough day!
just one of those days of more new things!
Thanks for your help Staci!
Ok the graph shows up to 350 but it will read up to 400. That’s as high as it will show.
Are you reading it on your phone? You should be. You can move the bar on your phone left to right and see exactly at any time a reading.
You won’t see a history of previous days. Just the last 12 hours.
You can go to Libre View online to see a history and past charts and graphs.
From overnight you will see up to 400 if he goes that high on the graph. (I don’t stress about that since if it’s over 400 what am I going to do differently? If it’s high, it’s high, and then I know if that’s the range she’s in. )
Conversely, if Tiger goes low, you will see that as well, or in between.
It’s just a bit of an adjustment, so try to calm down. It’s a little different than you used to with the 14 day libre. I really think you will like it once you get used to it because you will be able to look at exactly what’s happening in the moment on your phone. Remember his phone stays near him and you’re going to look at the data on your phone and you can move that scrollbar on your phone and look at anything in the past 12 hours.
I don’t know why he’s bothering with it anymore than he would the previous libre. I don’t know if they did anything different or maybe put it in a different spot than he’s used to.
You should always change to a different spot from the last Libre. They should never go on the exact same spot. You should give the skin a break.
I always switch it from one side of the body to the other so the skin is healing before I put another libre in the same spot or near the spot on one side or the other side, does that make sense?
Also, sometimes if he is out of range or lying on the sensor, you will not get a reading. (it will say may be out of range).
Remember the phone has to stay within 33 feet of him that is doing the reading of the sensor. Sometimes you’ll get a “10 minute warning” which means either the glucose is going up fast or going down fast. Sometimes it comes back quicker than 10 minutes, sometimes it takes longer, but usually I know somethings happening somewhat drastic if I get that 10 minute warning.
And then I just pay attention and keep checking my phone.
Let me know if more questions. Breathe.
