This is Mark talking--Mary is teaching me how to post. Oliver was lazy this morning and not bugging me for food. All seems well and the blood testing is getting easier even for me to do. I know it is Oliver getting used to the test/feed cycle. Mary says we are more relaxed and better at it too. Looks like Qllie may be heading to green today. I wish the same to all of you.

We send prayers to all the kitties and beans.

So close to a blue this morning, I bet Oliver will hit the green floor, fingers crossed. Congrats on the testing becoming easier... I think a lot of it does have to do with our confidence level as well as the cooperation of the kitties.

Hi Mark!! Welcome aboard! nice to have you here. Good job Mary on teaching him how to post. Love it when the DH's are here too. :-D

Nice job too Mark on learning how to do the tests - that gets easier the more often you do it. Will be second nature to you soon.

It is a great start for Oliver today - an almost blue - GO OLLIE!! Maybe some greens today too?

Good morning Mark! How awesome that you are posting and testing. When we first started, people would say their kitties would purr when being tested. I thought "ya right." :lol: After a few months, Tarragon wasn't fighting anymore and by golly if he doesn't purr like a little machine anymore. :lol: Nice start for Ollie today. Looks like some blues on the way. Have a wonderful day!

Nice to meet you, Mark! My DH is also a "Mark"...he tests and shoots, sometimes lurks, but never posts....maybe one of these days I'll convince him! I'm glad the testing is getting easier for you guys. This all does take time. I had the same experience as Melissa - people told me that their kitties came running when they heard the test strip bottle. Yeah - right! But Trix...now all I have to do is pat her "testing station" (the ottoman), and she hops up and starts purring! Once they understand what is going on, they become very helpful and proactive in their own health - kitties are SO smart!

Nice start for Ollie today!

Good morning Mark. Looks like Oliver is headed to the green zone today. We joined the board and started testing about the same time as Mary & you and also find that testing is getting easier, both for us and PF. Welcome to the forum. I think learning what all of the acronyms stood for was the hardest thing for me to learn.

Hi all my dear friends,
Thanks for being so welcoming to DH. He's really been lurking, but felt people here were "my friends". Now he'll know you're OUR friends.
Ollie touched one tiny toe into green and then jumped back out.. oh well, maybe more tonight.. when he can keep me up!! My bestest friend, my auntie Sue is here from WI.. the really frozen tundra!!! We're already laughing and having great fun. Heading out to cut flowers for vases.
Sending blue skies to all of you!! Many prayers for those who aren't at their best.
GOT to go out and enjoy this day.. maybe a walk to the park and watch the inlet. xoxoxo mary and ollie

Nice :mrgreen: toe touch there Oliver. It's always good to reward the beans for posting for the first time. Hello and Welcome Mark, you are indeed one of our friends. My Neko isn't purring at testing, but the rattle of the treat bag in the right direction sure gets her and the civie running to the ready position. After all, lots of scritches go with testing and treats.

Enjoy your Auntie's visit Mary. Picking flowers! How nice! I think I have a few winter jasmine but nothing else blooming yet.

Well, here we are again! Is this another reduction? It was just 2 nights ago he did exactly this same thing and we took the fat off his 2.75. He's below 50 but it's so close to his last reduction i'm wondering if i should reduce him again? thanks for your advice. mary and oliver

It's been 4 cycles since the last reduction. I think I would shave the dose.

I will tell Mark you said so., he is quite enjoying his new "posting" status. He was telling one of his customers how much he enjoyed his new found friends and that LL was quite a friendly place. "I totally understand why Mary likes those people so much" was what I heard.
now, back to the cat.
