Good Morning Devon. I agree with you, I hate seeing Mocha (or Checkers) in pink, but as you said, it gives you a chance to rest and heal the poor little ears.
I hope she comes down, nice and slow, so you only have to check occasionally.

I always feel bad for our kitties poor ears. Mocha deserves a brake and so do you. Hopefully she'll come down safely for you for her pm cycle

We've recently had the ear crisis here too, I know what you mean. I'm sure Mocha will enjoy her break today- I think all our sugar cats love those days when they just get to be regular kitty cats.

I wonder if the high numbers make them more irritable about ear pokes. Chaos seems more annoyed by testing the higher his results are, but perhaps it's coincidence.

Looks like our girls are keeping each other company today. Some days you'v just got to let them relax.

Hey Mocha come on down today!
I usually use some plain vaseline(between pokes & neopsorin,) to soften & lubricate ears & helps the blood bead up easily..
I use neosporin with pain relief, also, so she doesnt have to feel that sting much. Moonie is so good about it!
That's why I do amps,+3,+5 or +6, and pmps to save her ears--Of course, there are always those low days, but basically she is very sweet about it!

Sorry for the pink - but a day off for you, and a day off for mocha's ears. Have a good one today - and I hope she slowly clears the bounce.

Oh poor Mocha. Hope her ears feel better with the break in ear pokes. It seems like a lot of our kitties are having sore ears. Maggie jerks away lately but still cooperates and I feel so bad for her. I'm using these BD ultra fine lancets, but once in a while one gets stuck! Have a nice day with Mocha.

I feel the same way on the kitty ears! I got back from vacation yesterday and was giving Lightning as much love as he would let me (missed him so darn much)...and I took a look at his ears and I gasped!!! Kyle likes to poke the left ear and I'm all about the right ear...and I looked at his left and was like "what did you do to my kitty!!" He said he had a hard time getting blood so he had to poke alot! I felt SOOO bad for him, put some neosporin on right away and hoped it would help!

I guess the ONLY think good about high numbers is that we get a few hours without poking and I'm sure the kitties need that just as much as we do! Lightning and Mocha are only a few pts away from each other this morning, hopefully they can both find their way back down! And soon!!

Nice that you guys both get a break today! I hope you're staying warm...we're about to get another ft of snow.... :YMSIGH: I'm so done with winter!

Well I didn't check mocha once today .. and she gave us a beautiful pmps number ... I hope its the start of more good numbers to come!
