So I guess with the 43 I overfed the HC and /or in combination with giving the insulin 45 minutes later. I never know what I should do in these situations- I know the food will drive up the numbers but I want to make sure the numbers rise some before giving the insulin even though I know the insulin has a 3 hour lag.
 
If you get an unshootable PS (under 50), first stall for 15-20 minutes without feeding, to see if he comes up on his own. If not going up, then feed, but try LC first. It's the end of the cycle and shouldn't take as many carbs to boost him. you don't want to shoot a number that is influenced by high carbs, and might go below 50 again when the carbs wear off.
