Good early morning!!

Juba had quite an eventful night on Monday!
My husband and I took her in at 12am to our emergency vet for a mass I found near her anal region.
It turns out Jubalee had a clogged anal gland which caused an abscess.
It had not burst yet, so the vet put her under general anesthesia and lanced the abscess and flushed it very well.

Jubalee is currently on the pill form of Clavamox and Gabapentin for pain.
We are also using the heat compact method to encourage healing.

I decreased her dose due to her having a low number this morning, but her numbers have slowed crept back up, so I'm wondering when I can give her a full regular 1.5 unit dose?
Tomorrow morning?

Aawww. Poor Jubalee. Healing vines headed her way.:cat::bighug:

Is she eating well? Anesthesia can cause lower BG #'s (in some cats) so that may explain the lower numbers.
Juba is eating wonderfully!
I've added canned pumpkin and a prebiotic to her meals to ensure she's getting fiber and good bacteria.
I'm just trying to see what dose I should put her at...maybe between 1.25 and 1.5 units?

What did you shoot this morning? It is not on the SS.

Any idea how long she had the infection? I am wondering if that could have had an impact on the BG numbers (elevated) and the antibiotic and surgery might have her feeling better now.

Bumping you up in the hope someone can give you some dosing advise.
