Today was Dreaded Lupita Friday and while we were very busy getting ready to go to our mortgage refinancing closing, Lupita told me that Gracie did not hiss but made it very clear she was not happy about being in the same room together. Unfortunately, Gracie woke up with her eyes all icky again. We've been gone most of the day....just ran home to do a mid-day check....and her eyes were goopy when we got home. I've soaked them in warm water compresses and I have to wonder if that is the reason for her numbers today. She's been doing really well on this dose so it's either her eyes or the pen because we are at day 45. Every time I change the pen, it appears it wasn't the pen. So we'll see.

Sorry to be MIA.....we've been really swamped trying to get this refi done and I have a meetings three days next week on my copper project. I'm having to work some this weekend to make sure everything is ready because it is basically my show. Perfect. :lol: :lol: :lol:

You guys sound really busy. I hope Gracie's eyes will clear up overnight. Rusty is out gathering some healing vines (but they are encased in ice, so it may be a while before Gracie gets them).
Good luck with all your projects and with your re-financing (a necessary pain!). Please give my other best boy the message that we would like to see him here soon. We're out of cimmamum cookies!! (The Girl Scout cookies that just arrived aren't the same! :lol: )

Aw, poor Gracie...goopy eyes AND Lupita Friday!! I hope her eyes are feeling better this evening, and she starts showing more "Gracie-like" numbers. Like you, any time I suspect the pen, it's never the pen....but occasionally I do still try that approach :roll: ohmygod_smile !

Good luck with the refi. We did one several years ago when the interest rates were really, really low, and we are so glad we did it. It's a lot of paperwork, but worth it!

we've gone through the refi thing - can't miss when the interest rates are low. we went from a 30 year to a 15 year mortgage too, which is nice to have the end in sight.

i wouldn't be at all surprised if the eyes and her higher numbers were connected.

Hi Marje, sounds like you're pretty busy! I hope the refinance went well. It's too bad you have to work on the weekend, so I hope you get some relaxing time! Sending feel better vines to Gracie, I hope her eyes are all cleared up soon so she can show you some lower numbers :-D Have a nice evening!
 
Hi Marje, I sure hope Gracie's eyes clear up. Poor LBG. Sounds pretty reasonable that there may be a connection between her eyes and her BGs today. See had such a great day yesterday. Glad to see that nice PM dip into green. Hope she has a nice surf tonight.
 
Turn that around, Gracie. I hope the compresses help. You have had a bad pen before though, haven't you? How did you get a refund?

Yes...we did have a bad pen before but it seemed bad from the get go.

I put warm compresses on her eyes and rubbed the cloth over her meibomian glands because the vet says they get clogged. They already look better and she's not squinting; they aren't goopy any more. I think I will just have to do this several times a week. She seems to feel good.
 
Hi Marje, I am glad that Gracie's eyes are doing better now. The compresses seem to help her. Hopefully you got to rest up tonight.

We refinanced about 3 years ago and went from a 30 to15 year mortgage.
