Yesterday's Condo

We're off to a good start today. Love seeing blue so early in the going. I didn't give subqs yesterday, because Cinco was doing so well. Hearing him holler again was very heart warming. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually have missed his rants. :lol: He seems to be peeing less than he was, which was another reason I didn't give the fluids. I'm going to see how he does today and decide if he needs them. Don't want to overwork the kidneys if they aren't necessary.

Sending lots of hugs and good vines to Angela and Blackie as they mourn dear little Daisy, and to all who need the extra love today. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

It's so funny when the "irritating" features become endearing when they are feeling better :lol: Holler away, Cinco, and show your bean how good you feel! It's always good not to overdo the subqs I belive. That's a nice slide into blue, too. Maybe a green nadir? Paws crossed! ;-)

Revel in those hollers, Tricia, no matter how annoying they may sound to you. :lol: Thank you very much for visiting our condos (both Blackie's and Daisy's), and for your words of encouragement. Hoping that Cinco gives you a very lovely surf in the lower blues tomorrow and even lower blues and upper greens in the near days ahead.

Yes, I will enjoy every one of those hollers (even if he returns to his old habit of spouting off at 3 am). I know now how important to me it is to hear him.

Listen to your aunties, Cinco, please. Just a little lower baby. :smile:

Wonderful Cinco report!! It is amazing how much ALL their behaviors mean to us, isn't it? Very nice surf today, too - those mid blues are good stuff!

Hi Tricia!

It's great to hear he is doing so well and drinking less. he's got a great mama.

I think if he doesn't come down tonight into some blue or green numbers, I'd think about a dose increase to 1.75u. With cats returning from remission, and especially as much as you monitor, it's better to be a touch more aggressive.

Marje: Thanks for the input. I hadn't thought about a dosecrease yet, but you're right. It might be time. He's going the wrong way at the moment. I gave him 100cc of subq fluids this afternoon, and I thought that helped his PMPS be lower than it's been, but at +3 he's up, so who knows what's going on?!! confused_cat He's been very quiet this afternoon - not lethargic, but lazy. I know we all say this a million times a day, but I wish he could tell me how he's feeling! I just feel helpless and confused all the time. :dizcat I know - join the club.

Okay, unless he gives me a lovely surprise at + 6, we'll bump him up in the am. Paws crossed! :smile:

Paws crossed. Some times I think they are tired....just like us. After all...maybe he only slept 18 hours yesterday instead of the cat requisite of 20 ;-)

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: About the only time he's been away today has been when I've been poking or feeding him. And if you asked him, he would tell you that's been about a hundred times (at least the poking part). :lol:

Like most cats, he looks so sweet when he's sleeping, usually curled up in a ball with a paw over his face. I always feel guilty about waking him, but I just remind myself about all those 3:00 am. hollering sessions he's staged over the last two and a half years, and then I don't feel so bad!
