This looks to be a nice gentle rise in BG's. Attie's bounce from yesterdays 40 should show up near dinnertime....27 hours later.... Although Attie has been throwing us all kinds of new curve ideas over the last few weeks. Let's see where we go today...

The morning romp is underway and Attie just ran full all out past the office door! He is funny when he does that as most cats stretch out tail in the air....he keeps his tail tucked? MudCat is doing all she can to avoid him...and then tease him. :lol:

It is a brisk 4.6F here, but areas further inland are well below 0F this morning. Youngstown is reporting a (-5)F. Our windchill is (-5).

There are no kittyprints in the snow....so no Gary last night or this morning. I prepped the lodge for him last night, but the hot socks were undisturbed from yesterday. I suspect whoever has been keeping him fat and sassy may have taken him inside.

sounds like Atlas is full of pep this morning. It's always wonderful to see that.

Good morning guys .. nice numbers for atlas today .. that news story is sad .. how can people be so cruel .. Makes me want to give my kitties as many blankets as I can find to keep them warm .. even indoors!

With regards to that story, I'm glad that that woman got arrested. Shame on her!!!

Honestly Sienne,

I just can't believe it. I can't believe this is happening...

I always thought with Atlas' trials and tribulations we would hit a good dose for him...and he would stay there. Always insulin dependent.

It is true he might still always be dependent due to the damage done by being dumped and then his diabetes going unrecognized at the shelter for 3 months, critical surgery, being stuck on Humilin N for 6 months, needing the raw food diet...

...but then the idea that there is some kind of healing going on even now...is amazing. And the pace at which it is happening...

8u BID Humilin N to now ....

if Binks and Attie are in cahoots...the only thing i'd change is that they let us know how to get all the other kitties to this point!

what a great amps for Attie! reading Attie's story here today gives me renewed hope that things will eventually settle for Mannie - he went undiagnosed for close to 6 months. I too love looking at Attie's SS. Just the best!

You should be so proud of Attie. I'm sure being loved and safe and secure with you and Mudcat as a friend makes a world of difference too. What a lot he has been through. You and Attie are both inspirations. I have read some pretty amazing OTJ stories ;)

Keep it up you guys. Hope Gary is warm and fed.

I can't read that article. Sad stories weigh on me so much. I only wish that people that cause harm to others, especially animals do experience the full force of karma.

Ok ...feeding and shot time are an hour away.

I have been shooting low numbers, but now with Attie insisting on flirting in the 50's today ...

Even after the dose decrease.... I hate to start messing with food and timing....

Shoot 2.5u tonight?

Change the subject to PMBG not PMPS... bump nailbite_smile I wouldn't shoot a 50 but you have BOS. If you can delay for an answer I would.

Been waiting 2 hours for input.

That 50 will be his PS as we have gone ahead and fed. That low I have to feed him. And if this were mid-cycle it would be with Karo

PMPS means you shot though... PMBG might catch someones eye. The board isn't as active as normal...And an urgent symbol?

It looks like you already shot the 2.50u. I might have stalled a little to see if Attie would come up. I think the numbers you are seeing today are from action leftover from yesterday's 3.00u. It might be fine to reduce since he has been pretty green. :mrgreen:

We fed our normal meal 0.75 oz of rabbit and monitored.

Plus one showed no significant change so we did 5 FTs of carbs with second course meal.

Plus two shows karo spike...

We're struggling to stay above 50 most of the day.

Dose was decreased to 2.5u. We're running way too close for comfort.
