Shishi still has loose stools, and I tested her for ketones, and turned out negative.

I have a hard time regulating her BG despite increasing the dose every 3 days, there has been no diet change. Not sure if the increase in insulin is causing her loose stools or if it some other medical condition.

Are you still feeding just Wellness chicken or have you tried other flavors? Some cats are sensitive to beef. If you've made no change to diet and you're certain Shishi isn't getting into anything, if the loose stools persist, I'd get Shishi in to see your vet. You could also try a probiotic to see if that helps. I'm not sure what's available in Canada. I tend to use either FortiFlora or ReNew Ultimate.

hello guys

I have just been feeding her straight wellness chicken since September 2010. I am pretty sure that she has not got into anything else. I rarely give treats either, and when I do its the freeze dried chicken.

Shes a pure indoor cat, her stools have seemed fine until last week.

I took her into the vet today, and the vet suggested that there was a underlying medical condition with shishi, could be anything from kidney infection, pancreatitis, IBS, deficiency in B12 and or B6 and so on. Hes going to run blood and urine tomorrow and go from there.

He also suggested putting her back on the vet food which I was not a fan of. Said something about the high fat % of low carb foods causing overweight kitties, and hard to manage diabetes. For now I am not changing her diet.

Will go from there and see what happens.
