Still a little higher this morning, but I was expecting her to still be bouncing today after being about 400 lower at her lowest point yesterday then she has been any time previously. I was happy not to see a black number this morning - I thought she might stay higher for longer.

You are both doing really well. If you think back just one week ago to where you are now. I bet the tests have already become much easier.

They have for sure, thank you. It's already getting to be pretty routine getting a test and giving her a shot now. I'd never have thought I'd be able to say that this time last week when she was diagnosed!

That red this morning sure looks a lot better than black! And she's starting to recover from the bounce. Looking good Rosa.

The learning curve here is definitely steep, but it sounds like you are getting a good handle on things.

Thank you. I'm working on it. Fortunately, with not working at the moment I have time to manage the learning curve for now - and by the time I do find work no doubt I'll be much more in a routine and comfortable with all of this :) I've had a few advantages that way in getting to grips with this quickly. And yes, we like red this morning - anything below black works for me while she gets over the bounce.

You have got a great attitude for being so new at this. That's the hardest thing for some, coming to grips w/ the situation and not panicking at every little twirl in the sugar dance.

OK, now Rosa, no bungee jumping today, just a nice slow slide!

Oh, the first time she goes low and needs bringing back up I'll be panicking and screaming for help believe me! But I am trying to stay relaxed about it all as much as possible and reminding myself that 425 is a lot lower than her lovely 680 from the vet last week. If that was the lowest she'd got so far, I'd still see it as progress. I agree, we can do without bungee jumping today and I'm sure Rosa would appreciate just one or two fewer tests than yesterday so she needs to keep it reasonable for me.

Giving her a bit of break today after her curve yesterday and testing a bit less often - trying to catch numbers at hours I've not tested before. Still looking good - looks like she's cleared the worst of the bounce and is coming down slowly. :)

We'll just have to wait and see!

A lot of times their BG will "wobble" a bit....start to come down so you think they're breaking the bounce, and then they'll wobble back up

But it's great to see numbers that aren't black!!

Go Rosa!!

That's true - if she goes back up a bit later then she does. She's happy in herself so I'm not too concerned if she wobbles a bit yet. She didn't go all the way back up to "Hi" so I'm good with that.

Forgot to post the +9 when I did the test - I'd been planning to go out just for an hour with some friends to get food. Tested her pretty much on my way out the door to make sure she wasn't likely to finish up going too low while I was out. Looks like she's still holding fairly steady.
