Thanks Roni, Carla, Libby, Josie and Ella for the visits and sorry I missed you all. Yes, that was some cycle yesterday with Mags in and out of the Lagoon and the bf experiment. The LagoonMeister did not know what to think of Mags! I hope to flatten her out today. I notice with the big drop, she's not herself and feels lethargic. She slept on the sofa all night, which is very unusual.

Yesterday I did a food experiment on the Gerber ham & gravy bf and found it caused quite a spike with Mags, with feeding approx. 1/4 tsp. I use the bf to mix with water and Miralax. This morning I used the Gerber chicken & gravy bf and much better. At the +11 Maggie's bg was 146, nice blue!! I then fed her 1/4 tsp of the Gerber chicken & gravy bf, and an hour later for the PMPS check she was 137, about the same number so no effect. I learned bottom line that Mags is extreme sensitive to ham. This is the ECID, and some kitties may not have this same effect,
All five "P's" today, yes Detective Poo, even prezzies. This is a two dayer in a row! :-D

Pretty blue to start the day :smile: interesting food experiment yesterday, I have been thinking that I need to do something similar with Zeus, hoping to flatten him out as well.

Nice start for Maggie! WOW, pretty blue. :-D Surf well today Maggie. I love your fuds experiment - at least now you know that you have another thing you can feed her when and if you really need to bump her up some. Mannie is similar... he likes the low blues the best - seems to feel his best then. She's had a good run since last night - nice even blues.

WOO HOO! Prezzies too! very good Miss Maggie.

Mags made the Green Lagoon :mrgreen: and much better today than yesterday vs. the big drop yesterday am. I started feeding Mags about 10 minutes earlier after I tested and before the shot to prevent a dive.
The food experiment was a success showing the Gerber ham bf causing a spike and no spike with the Gerber chicken bf. She had some chicken Gerber bf after the AMPS poke. It seems it's just a matter of the ingredients with Mags. Chicken is fine, but ham causes a spike. Nice to know I can use the ham Gerber bf like Karo.
Thanks kathie for your visit. Yes, Mags is back to her chatty self today. I think the up and down for her was unusual, as she's normally a low key no bouncy kitty, normally! They can change on us. :lol:

Hi guys .. I love these numbers for maggie! Interesting on the food experiment .. Maggie sure is a carb sensitive kitty but it looks like you know how to handle her numbers .. have a great day guys!

Mags has a happy appy after the 78, so not surprised she's out of the Green Lagoon. She may just slide back in with her green kini,

Such a nice start for Miss Maggie today!!! Yay on prezzies two days in a row - woohoo, Maggie!!! It really is so interesting out ECID when it comes to various fuds...I think people outside of LL would never believe it, or understand why it's so important to us!

Hi Ann, Ham is definitely a spiker! Interesting that there do not appear to be any ham cat foods. Which cat foods are you feeding at present? I wonder if the effect of the baby food + lactulose changes when you also change Maggie's main food. Something else to experiment with? :lol:

He Ella and Rusty, it looks like Mags is barely out of the Green Lagoon if we count meter variance. :-D Maybe later Green Lagoon. Ella, I just received marching orders from Mags that there will be no more experiments on her fuds :lol: (at least not today)!! So I'lll take the threat serious and get out and about today for a few errands and a walk if it evolves (using Michelle & Scrabble's phrase).

Mags had a nice cycle today, no big drops and definitely no spike from the Gerber bf chicken & gravy! I've had a hard time finding this flavor. I went to Target and found three jars. I think there were more, but in moving the ham & gravy out of the way, one jar crashed on the floor. :shock: I had to find an employee to let him know about it. They really have nice kids working at our Target and so helpful and polite. I say kids, as they look so young and young enough to be my kid.

Interesting experiment with the bf. I never thought of buying bf /gravy to bump up Checks numbers. He'd love the ham/gravy.
I had been giving deli ham for a while before realizing it has sugary stuff added. Oops!

What a fantastic day for Miss Mags. Great numbers and poop too. :-D

Jamestown is, according to Google, only an hour and a half, but I thought it was closer to 3 hours. It's been many years tho, since I drove through it.
