+2 476 OUCH! Dang, I expect him to rise before onset, but that's nuts! I knew he was doing it, which is why I never tested early, didn't want to see it. ohmygod_smile
+4 HI Did he even get his shot this morning? Did I give it? Was it a fur shot? My brains says I gave the shot, but I don't remember, I went back to sleep. But I can't imagine getting up to the alarm, testing and not shooting, but anything is possible. We'll know about +8.

Gave R after finding his shot on the table.

+5.20/396 Better than 600+
+7/319
+8/301 Surprised he's still dropping 4 hrs after the R, but he's eating now so should start to climb.
+9/506 R I said climb, not skyrocket!

OMG I just found his shot on the table, he never got! I'm so pissed! Forget the curve today, will hit with R and get him down and work on it later. ohmygod_smile

That's what happens when you do it in your sleep, that's the 2nd time in a year I have done that. ohmygod_smile

Phew!!! I am relieved that he wasn't getting the salutation while on insulin!!!

When I saw the 'HI" I went looking for his shot, found it on the end table by my chair where I test, unused. ohmygod_smile

Have no idea how that happened, except I was half asleep. I-)

Was worrying about whether to skip a cycle before starting the PZI. Doesn't matter now! Whether I wanted to or not, it's done! So I guess I'll start him on the PZI tonight about 10. Schedule doesn't really matter at this point because he may be getting more than 2 shots a day at the beginning.

After a year, I feel like a noob again. ohmygod_smile

Got to get him stable, so will probably start him on the PZI about 9pm/+11, so the R can wear off before the PZI onset at about +2-+3.

This mess could have been avoided if I hadn't forgotten his shot this morning. Could have been a smooth transition. But NOOOOOOOO! Heaven forbid! :evil:
 
Oh well. You will make it alright again. So with PZI you shoot more than twice a day? That would do me in. Good thing you're home. I am praying for its success in Lucian.
 
The thing with PZI, as I understand it, is that there aren't many rules, it's all by the seat of your pants.

You test a LOT and if he's going too high, give another shot. :shock: Some do get shots 3 times a day in the beginning until their numbers drop to a decent level.

We're talking about Lucian who hasn't seen good numbers in a couple months! :o

I like rules! I like knowing what to do when. ohmygod_smile

Lucian just got his first shot of PZI with PMPS of 370, 2 hrs after R, which means it should be on the way out when the PZI kicks in. :dizcat
 
Fingers, toes, paws and tails all crossed for Lucian..Of course I'll be running over to check on you two in PZI even though I know Sue will take wonderful care of you both. And who knows if Autumn doesn't get her act together we maybe trotting right behind you.

If need be, let me know and I'll give you the website where your vet can get you 500U for free, 5ml bottle of U100 PZI. It's in the stickies in PZI but you'd have to dig for it, I got it saved. ;-) Unless your vet as already done it I suppose. Doubt they would offer it more than once. But the vets also have a choice of 4 other items they can get for free in addition to the PZI, 5 items total, so it's a win/win there.

I had misunderstood, I thought it was 100U, but it's not. Which is cool, cause it will last a while. :-D
