I forgot about NDW  And cats being cats. I don't think there's a full moon out. Squishy was a full moon cat.

+6 last night wasn't any different from +4.

Vet has looked at the spreadsheet and says it looks good. He says I can stop testing so much but I'm going to keep trying to get at least one or two mid cycle numbers, assuming Leroy cooperates. He's ok for testing in the morning but tries to hide every other time

Why is it vets always think we test too much. Isn't data the most important thing? Good for you get those tests whenever it's important to know how things are going. Even the really great vets seem to be a little weird about testing.

Come on Leroy give up those blues!

I might be able to get a +7-ish AM mid cycle test today. We'll see. I have an unexpected vet appointment for one of the rats today so I have to go home early and get the rat. It was either schedule an appointment or $$$ to bring the rat in as an emergency. Rat is stable, just needs her now 7 days post surgical incision stitched back together.

I'll take a vet who discourages too much testing over one who doesn't encourage any testing. Squishy had a rainbow colored spreadsheet I know the vet found valuable. One of the first things he said to me last week was he wanted a log of Leroy's numbers :D

+7 186
PMPS 150
+2 185

I'm not sure what to make of the post-insulin bg bounce.
Im new to this too. The numbers dont make too much sense most of the time (to me). Hang in there. At least you are starting out with not so bad numbers.

Lol, I'm not exactly new :) I was last here on FDMB a decade or so ago with another cat. I'm back with a new (hopefully temporary) diabetic cat. Yes, numbers aren't too bad compared to all the pinks I had with Squishy.
