Hi again,
Rusty and Edward had a good day. Rusty ate all of his breakfast and was hungry for more at lunch time. Then, after a few bites he went into his bed by the radiator to take his "down time", but by the time I got home he was ready to eat a little more of his lunch. And as of now he has eaten about 3/4ths of his dinner, so his appetite today was what I would call good.
Rusty's eye was weeping when I got home this afternoon, but it has stopped. His breathing is OK. After dinner he sat in my lap at the table and ate from time to time for about an hour. We're about to watch a PBS serial on Netflix (The Tunnel). It is a joint French-English crime drama from 2013 and we have gotten quite caught up in it. I'll hold Rusty's bowl so that he can finish his dinner.

Tomorrow afternoon we have a vet appt., but if Rusty stays as improved as he has been, I think I will go alone for a consult. (It will save him some stress.) If the transdermal pred has arrived I can take it home. I'm not sure if we will need it, but I've paid for it so it will be good to have in any event.

Thanks again to all of you for the vines and positive thoughts. bbl,

you answered where the meds were. If his passages tend to swell, that pred will likely be needed at some point.

I've had the roto-rooter surgery and even tho' they removed tissue, the problem just comes back when the tissue swells again...
My ENT has me squirt flonase ( steroid) up my sinuses but I have to be upside down when I do it. He wants it to stay just inside the nasal cavity, not run down my throat.
That's certainly not an option with a cat.

I'm so glad he's had a good day.
Scritches to Rusty.
