Morning ~O) all is well in Maggie land today, but it's hard to believe this AMPS! :shock: I did a little experiment on the Gerber ham & gravy bf after the +10 to see how much of a spike it caused Mags. I normally use the chicken & gravy Gerber bf, but all Walmart had was the ham & gravy, Mags was 211 at +10 when I removed the overnight dish of fuds. After the poke, she had less than 1/4 tsp bf mixed with drops of water and Miralax and then she licks it off the spoon. An hour and a half later she tested at 287. Mags is very carb sensitive. She loves the ham & gravy as if it were ice cream. It will be interesting to watch her +4 bg!!

Good news though, Mags had soft prezzies, but not liquipoo. She had quite a bit of Miralax yesterday, along with her other poo meds, to make this happen. Detectives Poo and Crapdash will be pleased. Now we need to check on Moonie.

Wow...interesting experiment! She really is a sensitive girl, isn't she? Looks like you can give her that "ice cream" BF if she drops too low - sounds like she'd love it!

Maggie is so sensitive to food changes. Oy. Come on down sweet girl. You are right. Maggie and T must have had themselves a smorgasbord. :lol: Have a great day Ann!

:shock: :mrgreen: Yikes! I wasn't expecting this big of a dive. Mags came into the bathroom chattering away, so thought I'd better listen just in case, unlike yesterday!

Amy, yes, very sensitive to carbs. She's had this flavor bf before, but more the chicken flavor.

Melissa, she sure did listen and came down fast! :shock:

Interesting experiment - and wow on the spike from the ham BF. even more fun is that +3! WOW on a mission for sure. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: GO MAGGIE!

YAY on the prezzies!! So so glad that Maggie delivered. :-D You are getting very good at knowing the right mix of meds to help Maggie out.

Hi Michelle, I hope soon on the walk as soon as Mags starts coming up. She's not too interested in food right now.

Thanks Devon, she does seem to clear the food very fast right after the shot.

Ohhhh.....I guess that's it for the green surf. I gave her a teeny bit of the Gerber bg ham & gravy, and it brought her up, I was trying to gt another dose of Mir in her. Today I'll look for the Gerber chicken & gravy bf and see if there's a difference. She might bop back down with the bf acting like Karo, in a way.

wow on that spike I have never tried the ham with Do Lou he does like the beef flavor... nice come down for Maggie keep surfing girl :mrgreen:

May I ask how much Miralax you are giving Mags in a day? I've been giving Tux about a quarter teas, twice a day, 'cause I don't know if it causes cramps.
I'm so afraid of causing him pain, but that amount isn't doing any good for his little Tootsie Roll segments.

Back down to green! :mrgreen: I think I was right about the bf not staying long with her, as she did bop back down. I'm still on the food experiment.

Thanks Lisa, Michelle,and Barb for your visits, Yes, I guess the food experiment is showing the Gerber ham bf does bring her up, but it doesn't stay long in her system just looking at her numbers, which is good to know.

Hi Barb & Checkers, I give Mags a dose of Miralax with a teeny amount of bf mixed with water five to six times a day. She can handle a lot of Miralax with the Megacolon/constipation issues. I've never set an amount daily, kind of a trial and error thing. I just give as a treat after each shot (Miralax cocktail) and some of the pokes. It's probably a teaspoon plus.
Were you giving Tux 1/4 tsp twice a day or is it 1/8 tsp. twice a day. You could try giving 1/8 more tsp and see if it helps. Go up real slow, as some kitties are real sensitive to it.

Detective Poo, checking in. I'm very pleased with the poo. That miralax does the trick. Wowza! That is a huge drop for Miss Mags. Time to surf! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thank you Mary and Ollie for the visit. It does seem like Mags has more greens after she has a good poo. :mrgreen: She's feeling better and working the juice.

Hey Detective Poo, she did good. Yes, the Miralax is good stuff. It was a huge drop. She was feeling lethargic after the 94 drop. Now she's napping.

Hi Anne & Muffin, it has been interesting with the bf experiment. I was just out and about and could only fine one jar of the Gerber chicken bf.

She did poo today & pretty well I might add :lol: ...I am doing as you are experimenting with miralax & the lactulose..which I am cutting down to twice a day, mostly because she Hates being syringed..Trying to find a happy medium!!
