Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

1/21 AMPS=139 (f0.75u); +1=158; +2=164; +3=180; +9.5=169
1/21 PMPS=142 (f0.75u); +1=153; +2=146; +3.5=151; +6.5=139

1/22 AMPS=151 (f0.75u); +1=160; +2=173; +10.5=209
1/22 PMPS=221 (F0.75u); +1=214; +2=164; +4=166; +6=157

Lucy is feeling fine this morning, and ate the 1st breakfast pretty well. :-D
She used to like 3oz Wellness better, but she seems to prefer 5.5oz cans lately.
I haven't opened the Wendy special cans (from the previous canning facility) yet, but I opened one of the newer 5.5 cans which she didn't like last year.
She didn't eat like I wasn't delivering fast enough, but she ate without hesitation.
I think this is partly due to what she was eating when she got sick last. She always blames food.
Ginger blames location.
If she gets sick while on a cat tower or a particular bed, she avoids that for a while.
It's interesting how they have different logic.

Lucy has a reiki appointment this afternoon.
I will ask her if Lucy's energy flows are any better after the recent 2 acupuncture treatments.

Sending vines to kitties and beans who need some.

Hi guys .. nice solid blue to start the day! Glad to hear lucy ate well this morning .. and yes, it is interesting on cat's logic .. twix does the same thing with her food, if she is scared of a noise while eating she won't eat there for awhile .. crazy cats .. have a great day guys!

Great news that Lucy is feeling good and eating for you. I hope everything goes well with the reiki appointment this afternoon.

Glad that Lucy is eating for you. If someone drops a plate or my kids are too noisy, Lovey leaves her food. I need to keep relocating it to a quiet location. My family teases me because I shush them so Lovey will eat her food.

I think that is interesting too, how different cats think different ways! Chyna likes fuds in certain rooms, and not in others, and if it's noisy or I'm walking around a bunch in that area, she will leave and not eat there   So I tip toe past when she's eating   She associates being sick with the bowl used...and avoids where she threw up last too! But not blaming the fuds, so far (anti jinx).

I'm glad Lucy is having a nice blue day! And that she is eating well for you. It's always so nice when our furbabies are feeling good :-D Have a good day, Mariko!

Location and sounds definitely effect Cleo's eating habits too :-D I am always telling DH "just be still," Cleo is eating  He thinks I am nuts, but I will have to tell him there is a whole community of us

So glad Lucy is eating - hope today's session goes well :-D

Nice surf for Lucy earlier today...I hope she kept it up all day, and that all went well with her Reiki appointment!

It IS so interesting how different each and every kitty is. It amazes how "non cat people" don't see it. Trix eats "OK" in the room with everyone else, but I've recently noticed that, after having her first round with the group, she much prefers to continue on in a different room in front of the heating vent. She is far less finicky by the vent - yet that's not where she chooses to start out...silly girl!

Have a great evening, Mariko!

Re: 1/22 Lucy PMPS=221

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who tells everyone around (if anyone's around) to freeze and stop talking while Lucy's eating.
Sometimes I find myself holding my breath even.

Lucy started the evening in yellow, unfortunately.
But she's feeling good and ate the first dinner very well!

When I tested at +10.5 as soon as I got home from work and saw yellow, I got a little upset that it could be a bounce and that she might have gone low while I was at work.
I thought "How on earth am I supposed to take ZERO chance of hypo and keep my job!?!?".
But then maybe it's possible that she's not completely recovered from the last bounce, from Sunday PM greens....

I know Lucy's numbers aren't where I need to start worrying about hypo yet, but I am a bit sensitive about "not catching" low #s after the last couple of fructosamine values. :-|

Re: 1/22 Lucy PMPS=221

Lovely numbers for Lucy today. I wouldn't bee too upset about that yellow, Mariko. It's a low one. I'm sure she'll slide back down to blue for you. Good to hear she's eating well and feeling well, too.

I think all kitties have some funny (to us) quirks about eating. My civvie, Sasha, prefers to eat upstairs, so I have to take her plate up. If I'm late, or she's really hungry, she'll come down to the kitchen when I'm dishing up, but she usually only takes a bite or two, then runs upstairs. When I get up the bedroom, she's sitting in the middle of the floor, like a diner at a restaurant waiting to be served!

Their wonderful purrsonalities are why we go love them so much and go to so much trouble to keep them healthy!

Well done Lucy.

A nice blue surf is perfect for night time. And keep eating please!

Interesting reading all the different places beans feed their kitties. Neko will eat where ever there is food. Theo spent so long in the shelter he also learned to eat wherever food got put down.
