Happy Caturday!!!! We send our regular healing vines to Claudia and Rocket and hope the vet visit goes well today. Also, our deepest sympathy to Nicole and her family on this very difficult day.

WCR: 4Ps in place. Gracie and Tobey really got wild last night. I was in the den and they'd come zooming down the hall from the guest wing with Gracie chasing Tobey and then in through the dining room, living room, out on the enclosed patio, and then backtrack with Tobey chasing Gracie. They looked like they were having a blast. This morning...same thing ensued after breakfast. Now they are both zonked out on the patio in the sun....smart little creatures!! Gracie has always had this adorable habit of burying her plate after she eats; and she moves all around it so she makes a 360 degree circle, "burying" as she goes. Since she had breffis #2 in our bed this morning, she had a lot to work with (comforter) :lol: :lol: :lol: She is doing a very nice, slow slide down into blue; I was so happy to see a yellow AMPS this morning.

I'm very late posting...I went btb after her PS routine and once I got everyone taken care of after +1, I took time to do my yoga, have my own breffis, read the paper, etc. ...things I just haven't been taking the time to do much of lately. I actually have quite a few things to get accomplished today so I'm going to get after it and will check condos later...probably this evening. Have a beautiful day!

it is simply the best when kittens play like that. Mannie never has been much of a player, even as a kitten. One laid back dude. Looks like you had a semi-busy night last night - down the 40's. Hooray for karo! It is nice to see to that she didn't bounce too badly. Hooray!

Kudos to you to take time for you in the morning. I have my routine too, it often is 2 hours after amps before i ever get to posting a condo. I think our time is impt too - so kudos to you! I read through my FaceBook account that you are on the LLEF - it is so great to have you there. What a wonderful addition to an already great group. SUPER!

Gracie !!!!!! We are off to NYC to visit Rusty and have a grand party - NY style. I've got the roadster all packed, and can pick you up pronto, after I rescue Tess from her traveling trip with her bean. See you soon! ~~ Mannie

What a great day for Miss Gracie! And it sounds like a great day for Miss Marjorie too! I'm doing good taking care of my diet right now, but I need to get back to little things... like yoga, the gym, reading magazines, etc. Bravo to you for taking time for yourself!

We have a policy that we NEVER leave the house to go out unless we check Gracie first. I was just about to go out to run a few errands which would have taken me about 2 hours and Gracie had been coming down nice and slow all day. But, thankfully, our "policy" led me to check her first and what do I get? 44!!. I checked twice. So I fed her 1 tsp 10% with two drops karo. I swear this girl is determined to give me a heart attack. :lol: :lol: :lol: And she's just as happy and chirpy as you please...no hint that her number is this low. Rechecking in 30 my friends.

Word to newbies: if you don't have a similar policy....might be good to get one :lol:

I have a similar policy with Atlas... hence no trip to the Farmer's Exchange today. :sad:

Beth: I just took her back up from 1u to f1u 10 cycles ago (this is her 10th cycle on this dose). Every single time I've taken her down to 1u, she doesn't hold the reduction and I can't dial in between those two. I'd like to try to hold a reduction off for at least one more time under 50. And I hope I didn't just overcarb her so that she bounces at PMPS nailbite_smile I've got her to a safe number now (staying home) so if she'll just surf it, she might have a nice cycle again tonight.

I have the same policy...I always get an out the door test. I've had to cancel plans several times because of a low number. They just KNOW, don't they? ;-)

Beth: I know Michelle has the same issue with Mannie. What's a girl to do? :lol: Believe me, this 24/7 kinda drives me crazy. In the 30 mins between tests, I ran to my DBFF's house to exchange some things we'd bought (whenever one of us goes somewhere shopping, we buy stuff for the other one, too). She lives 2 mins from me. Anyway, she wanted me to hang out there and I wanted to SO BAD...beautiful sunny day sitting out in her backyard just talking and chillin'. But no...I had to get back home. But Gracie is worth it. I should have just come back down, gotten her, and gone back over there :lol: :lol:

Laurie: I think you're right and I was out most of the day yesterday....she just didn't want me to be gone anymore!! She's gotten so used to me being here so much! :lol: :lol:

Libby...great to see you in our condo!!

Well, she's dropping back down again. I gave her another tsp of 10% before we hit +10 so I can try and bump her up a little so I'm not doing the stall routine....would like to see her come up a little and hold it on her own before PMPS. I'm happy she's surfing....just surf a little higher green baby girl!

84 at +10. Hope she holds this...perfect number for shooting anti jinx. No more food next two hours unless she falls back down below 50. Paws crossed she maintains.

Shesshhhh - I take off for the afternoon to help get someone started with the board here and her kitty, and look at what I missed! Gracie - a 44????? Nice !!! and good catch there Marjorie! Oh Gracie....don't go and give your bean a heart attack little girl....So glad you checked her before leaving....Really nice catch.

BTW....Houston TIRR is gonna take very good care of Representative Gabby Giffords. She is doing so well.

Tena: I know....I'm so glad Gabby will be so well taken care of altho it is so hard for all of us in Tucson to have her so far away.

Celi: she does unless this +1 is not a food spike :lol: Then mamabean is not going to be happy. I hope it's just the .85 oz of 6% she got for dindin #1.

Beth: holding my breath on what +2 will bring! She needs lessons from Attie!

About my dinner time. I've been feeding all these cats different foods and I'm pooped!! Why can't they all eat the same thing? WHose fault do you think that is? :lol: I'll think I'll blame it on Mike since he isn't here to defend himself. :twisted: :twisted:

So NOT a food spike!! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT I gave her just a little 10% in with her regular food. Here's an interesting question Mike and I debate (gosh aren't our lives boring?):

If a cat has a food spike and then comes down, is the number they came down the true decrease in BG or is it just from the PMPS?
In other words, Gracie spiked to 138 and then came down to 89; so did she really fall 49 in an hour OR because the food spiked her up, did she only fall from 108 to 89...19? I say the former; Mike says the latter. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I gave her just a smidgen of 10% (still LC) food at +2 and she held steady at +2.5....I didn't feed. So now why is she going back up? cat(2)_steam

:? what's up with the +3? a reaction to the 10% @ +2. maybe? does it take her that long to use those carbs? and it wasn't that high of a % either. Gracie - always a mystery....

So Michelle....you thought the +3 was bad? Check out the +4!! I think she must be bouncing from the 44??? She never had a big drop over a short time today...

Never a dull moment with little Gracie. Hope you were able to get some rest last night/morning? Sunday is another day.
 
Nice long surf in here yesterday. Longest you've had in awhile if I am reading your SS correctly. No crazy drama drops either. You did have the 44, but lets see where we are this morning. Early on the bounces would happen and be noticeable, but the length of time would decrease. Gracie seems to have been in lower numbers some 14 hours yesterday compared to just a few days before.

*The day I had Venita take a peek at my SS she noted Attie would not show a bounce until almost
27 hours later. That was a change from seeing the bounce right away and the bounce lasted only 2-3 hours, not a full cycle or longer.
