Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

Because his AMPS is lower than the +11. I would rather keep his schedule, but I've read not to shoot if the AMPS is lower than the +11.

Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

OK. I just wanted to make sure you weren't shooting early.

The issue with a pre-shot that's lower than your +11 is that it's a dropping number. I'd be much more concerned if the numbers were a lot lower (e.g., having dropped from 150 to 100 at shot time). Given the pink range, I think you're fine to shoot. I would stick with the 1.0u. What you're seeing this morning is Atticus bouncing from that beautiful string of blue numbers. You want to wait for the bounce to clear. I think Julie gave you the long explanation of a bounce yesterday.

I'd suggest testing at +2.

Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

Gotcha. I did think that since 331 is still high, it's probably safe to shoot, but I wanted an opinion. It's easy to start second- and third-guessing oneself!
I went ahead and gave 1 unit.

Hi there and welcome to Lantus Land!

Glad you shot. :-D

Stick around, there is a great group here with tons of knowledge, experience and support.

Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

His ears have looked better, poor guy. I'm staunching with a tissue and using Neosporin, but he still has a few red dots. I'm proud of him. I don't think his sister would be this forgiving (so far!)

Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

i tell myself that ear pokes in exchange for being alive aren't such a bad trade-off! some cats here have been getting their ears poked for many years. punkin will still come to get tested because he knows he's going to get a treat. it's a powerful incentive.

Re: 1/22 Atticus, 331 AMPS

I'm so glad you made it over here to Lantus Land. There's just about always someone here to help at all times between the east coasters and the west coasters. Atticus is looking fabulous!!

To make it easier for everyone to see how Atticus is doing, you might want to add all his test results to his subject line. On your first post, hit edit and then make the additions. We all follow this pattern: 1/22 Atticus AMPS 331, +4 116, +6 113, etc. When it's time for PMPS, you can erase all the earlier results so you have room for the PM results. Everytime you do a test, just add the result in the subject line of your first post. This is the only way people can see how all the cats are doing on the main page and not have to go into each condo to see how they're doing.

Again, welcome to Lantus Land!!
