Yesterday's Condo

A nice start for Willie today. I woke up this morning feeling as if my head might explode, so we all went btb for a good long while. Herbie and I are now playing bed mice while Willie snoozes at my feet. He has apparently recruited her into CALC (the Cats Against Literacy Campaign) as she is now gleefully trying to chew her way through a stack of magazines on my bed, though she clearly still needs more training as she is constantly distracted by the need to bathe herself. I've mostly forgiven her for chewing my computer cord in half yesterday, though that may have to do with the fact that I found that I had a workable replacement and don't have to buy a new one. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Cold, dreary day here in KC, though supposed to be warm again this week. Such a bizarre winter in so many places this year! Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Hey Christie, sounds like Herbie is keeping you on your toes! So fun to have a kitten around... why do they have to grow up? Willie is looking fabulous as usual. Have a great day!

Wow on the cord....hope it was unplugged so your little red darlin' didn't get a shock.

Gracie is a chewer....I was scared to death we would not get her through kittenhood...all our cords have bite marks on them. I had to buy all new lamp shades....little baby Gracie teeth marks in all of them. My work laptop
actually has bite marks on the upper left corner above the screen....how DOES she do it? :lol: :lol:

Hope you feel better soon and enjoy a day snuggled in with your babies.
 
So, it turns out the old laptop cord DIDN'T work. :evil: :evil: :evil: Thankfully, Microcenter had an inexpensive one in stock... another $35 the Herblet has cost me with her chewing!!! Marjorie, glad to know I'm not the only one with a chewer! I think the computer was plugged in... *sigh* I had never seen her even glance at a power cord, so didn't give a second thought to leaving the laptop plugged in on the bed like I always do. We'll be changing that routine!!!

Went out to run errands and Willie was QUITE cross that provisions were not left for my absence. Got a FINE!!! Then just let me outside an' I'z find mah own!!. Got another FINE!!!!! in response to the veto on that request. Teenagers!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
We used Bitter Apple spray on cords when my dogs were puppies... pretty sure it's safe for cats too. Might be worth a look!

I was organizing my bookshelves several months ago and pulled out some of my old textbooks... they all have little tiny bite marks on the corners :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Nice numbers for Willie today! Not so great about Herbie and the power cords!! Definitely not great about your headache!!

We learned that our civvie, Petey, was a chewer when we came home from work one day, tried to move the mouse cursor, and nothing happened. He chewed right through the cord! So now the computer is behind closed doors in a cabinet, and every lamp we have plugged in (which is few) has a heavy duty cord protector on it - and he STILL chews on those (he's almost 10!!) The shower curtain is also a favorite :roll: ! WE tried the bitter apple spray, but he just laughed at us while continuing to chew on the cords....

Lovely numbers for Willie, though! I hope your head is feeling better by now. Have a great evening!!!

Mookie likes to chew on tape, the kind used to seal boxes; and he likes to pop bubble wrap with his teeth.
