yesterday's condo: Tawny 1/20/12

She is very good, happy and hungry.

OT: Still trying to figure out if I can give her 75 lb. drooler brother 500mgs of Clavemox twice a day by giving him 4 125mg tabs at a time, or 500mg cephalexin from 2009. I have been using Vetrycin on his foot for now, anybody have any experience w/this stuff? It' supposedly the "miracle" treatment for wounds for dogs, cats, horses and other animals. I've also been using it on the wound above Tawny's equine brother's eye, it's supposedly safe to use around the eyes, too. I can say Bandit's eye wound isn't any worse, but not healing like I'd like, I am trying to get some tucoprim from the vet to put in his food but the vet has had me on ignore all week, he'd just rather charge me $135.00 professional fee plus $1.35/mile RT to come out here and tell me Bandit needs ABs. DUH.

I just realized that since the first of November when Tawny got sick I have had at least one sick or wounded critter around here to care of ever since. At least I don't have to spend 80 hrs a week in that horrible store anymore so that I can take care of my critters when they need it now.

Re: 1/21 Tawny amps 264

Aahhh..found it!! The girls are almost identical this morning.

Wow...that's alot to have not had EVERYONE healthy since November but I bet you are much happier having to deal with it sans THS!!

Have a great day.

Thank goodness she came down out of that awful red!

She spent the day in my home office w/me lying on my desk in the exact spot I needed for paperwork at the exact time I needed to be doing it. She helped me organize things by laying on top of them. Then she helped me do work on the computer by laying right up against it with one entire paw, arm and all, stretched out across the keyboard. She is such good little office assistant! :-D

OT: Finally scored a jar of Uniprim (generic Tucoprim) AB for Bandit (horse) and while I was picking it up at the vet's asked them about giving Smokey (drooler) the Cephalaxin I had, they said use it instead of the Clav. He's healing but he's still traumatized and he's eating good but only if I sit down on the floor right next to him and feed it to him off my fingers. Echhhhhhh...dry dog food doused in chicken broth warmed up in micro scraped out of bowl onto Mommie's fingers and then licked off by 80# drooler....Echhhhhhhh! For as long as you need me to, baby. I love you Smokey.
