Good afternoon, LL!

Mookie is great today, even though his numbers indicate a bounce from last night -- during which he was all green and blue! :-D

DH is off to play with his techno rock band; I'm home planning my veggie garden. Hooray for seed catalogues!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day and healthy kitties.

No bouncy bounce Mookie!! Come back down!

Hope you enjoy your day planning your garden, Randa!! Sounds so much fun :-D

Sorry to see the bounce, but he'll come back down in good time. Seed catalogues are the perfect winter companion.

No doubt Mookie's bounce will settle out soon!

Veggie garden - nice! We used to have one, but reached a point of being so busy that we could no longer properly keep it up, and the soil needed to be amended and we just couldn't find time to take care of that, so we had to abandon ship. One of these days I'd love to get back into it. I hope you're having fun planning yours! Even without a veggie garden, I cannot wait for warm weather!!!

I think I'm about to abandon the veggie garden too, such a shame because there is nothing tastier and more nutritious than your own freshly grown food.

Loved Mookie's baby pic in the loose lips today. He's a very hansome cat these days but what a cutie pie baby he was.

Hey, Mookie, let's keep this bounce short. Your bean has some important bean-planning going on. :-D Do you have to water a lot? How long is your growing season?

Hi, Liz! Our boys sure do bounce, don't they?

Watering a garden is problematic for us in the Southwest. In Denver we have water restrictions from May through September. In order to have a garden I've been working on a drip irrigation system for the last couple of years, which uses much less water than other irrigation methods by watering just the roots of the plants. This spring I'm planning to add a rain barrel, too. I can start some things outdoors in March (with cover) or April, but our last frost is usually about May 10. I harvest through October, depending on the first frost, which is usually mid-October.

our growing season is just about the same as what you've described. i'm lucky that my husband loves his garden - he's always tinkering with it. building new raised beds, moving the ones he's got - whatever that gives him an excuse to be out there. my favorite part of the garden are the raspberries. we've got maybe 15 feet or more of raspberry plants. yummy! he put the garden in the only sunny part of our yard (we have lots of giant oaks) so everything is growing on the side yard.

the info on the siamese was really interesting - i had no idea how their color happened. i didn't realize that's what meezers were.

randa, i just wanted to say how much i appreciate how you go around and encourage everyone. you're just awesome. i'm glad you're here. :YMHUG:
