Yesterday's Loose LIps

Peter and Randa posted cute baby pics of their cats in yesterday's Loose Lips  I thought it would be neat if everyone shared a baby pic of their cats

Here's Leroy at a few weeks old before I got him:

IMG_0227.jpg

And Squishy Merlin

I got Emma at 6 months from a rescue so no baby pics of her.

This is the earliest pic I can find of Cini Mini, taken in 2001 which would mean he's 3 years old in this photo (that's my daughter with him).

The baby pics I have of Muffin and her brothers are hard copies, and I don't have a scanner, so....but I so wish you could see them! However, I have plenty of Cleetus and Oscar!

Oscar at 3 weeks old:

And here's a little video of the 4 of them (Ruby and Thor too) There's slight cussing in it, so turn your sound off, or I'll take it down if people object. Click to play it.

Cute pics everyone :-D

Here's another one of Leroy with his brother:

bwahahahah oh my goodness! Those ears made me crack up! What a cutie!! merlin is a cutie too!!

Leroy had such bigs ears as a baby  He eventually grew into them but they're still huge :-D Emma has such teeny ears compared to Leroy, even smaller than Squishy Merlin's ears.

Very cute kids!

My older girls

I LOVE seeing all the baby pics...what cutie pies!!!

Trix was 3 when she came to us, so I unfortunately don't have any baby pics of her. But I've got a million others...this was taken shortly after she moved in. She thought the mantle was the ideal resting place:

One of my favorites of the triplets, Noah, Zen, and Petey (along with DH!):

Frankie, checking out the artwork:

Mario came along before the digital age, so unfortunately all of his baby pics are hard copies. But he was absurdly cute with gigantic ears that - 16+ years later - he as finally grown into!

What a fun idea!! Willie was about a year old when I got him... but here are some pics from those early days!

Age 3 or so... this one is a favorite of mine!

Also at age 3. Love this one too!

Bear Man was an adult when I adopted him, but this is one of his earliest photos.

Here is Miss Emily, not long after I adopted her at the age of eight months.

Here is a photo of Teddy with his litter mates and his Mom. I fostered them after the Mom was abandoned with her day old kittens.

This is Pinkerton, in his Humane Society picture, after his recovery from hind leg amputation.

I heart this thread. cat_pet_icon I have cute baby pics of Maddie and Bailey, hard copies & no scanner

However...

Harley is my photogenic one anyway... and I have lots of baby pics of her.

Know why?

DH told me we had enough cats & I needed to find her a forever home. I pretended to... I took pics and made flyers... and he fell in love with her and said we could keep her    I thought that would happen... You all will keep my secret, right??

This a wonderful idea for a condo...
what a bunch of cuties!

Oh, Zener!

he looks dang happy for all that cast :-D

how old was he when that happened?

Binks caught his leg in the toilet paper dispenser roll a week after I got him...
unrolled the whole roll first, of course
but we didn't get pics of his cast.

Rest assured, however...it was PINK!

Ruby sprained her ankle the week after I gave her away:
100_0403.jpg

I think she should be in the ASPCA commercials - not because she was abused, but because she looks so sad!
100_0402.jpg

Celi: I think Zener was about 9 weeks old. He had to get a new cast every week because he was growing. The vet asked if he was depressed and we were surprised by that because he just learned how to get around with the cast and was fine. He's always had a very positive attitude. Did Binks have a cast too?
Liz

I love, love, LOVE this thread! All these pictures made me grin from ear to ear! Kittens are so precious .. well, full grown cat's are too, but there's just something about those tiny babies!!!

Definitely best thread ever :-D !!!! All those poor little kitties with casts, though! I'm glad everyone healed up beautifully!

oh ruby! yes, that is the saddest little kitter face ever.

when i was about 9 my rabbit broke his leg and was in a cast for a while. amazing how he learned to get around with it with no trouble. but like a rabbit, he kept chewing on it, so it wasn't on for too long. it healed and he went on to live a long time.

punkin was about 1 when we got him from the shelter, so no baby pics of the furball!

Aww the poor cute kitties with cats on

No one here will tell :-D That happens a lot - temporarily house a cat and "try" to find it a new home and eventually keeping it

Binks...working on securing his diabetic future

Lol  Sometimes I wish that we all knew way back then what we now know about dry food and the health issues it can cause.

I agree :-D All babies are extra cute cat_pet_icon

Here are my two GA's Boomer (flame point meezer when he was a baby) and his big bro Biscuit.

Trinket (She was born in May-I got her at 4 months)

I got Mer at age one. Here he is before he started getting darker. He was Mr. Creamy. Look at how huge his front paws are. He doesn't have dew claws-they are combined with all the other front toes.

These pics need to be in a calendar!

and OH! on the "cast kitties"

Binks did have a pink cast...and every time he'd start across the wood floor (step, THUNK, step, THUNK)
one of his now GA daddies- Homie the manx or Sean the boxer would run over, gather him up, and cuddle him.
Sean used to pick him up by the nape of the neck and carry him around everywhere...I wish we had pictures!
It was a heartwarming sight...must be where he got his totally upbeat outlook on the world,
and perhaps why he turned out to be the most agreeable, model FD patient.
Binks seems to thrive on being a patient...
when i went to pick him up after his 'tutoring', the receptionist yelled out "Where's Binks Cudd? He's not in the ward!"
and the answer came from the breakroom..."He's in here with us having ice cream!" Cute kittens get all the breaks! :-D

Wow! What great pictures. They are all so sweet.

Tarragon was 4 weeks old when we got him. His mother had died and we had to feed him from a dropper. Mason was 9 and picked him out at the vet. He was a pretty sick little guy, but we all fell in love with him right away.

Baby Lilly at about 8 weeks - about a week before this, she'd shown up from the feral colony area saying 'I don't WANT to be wild'. Shortly after this pic, I could pet her!

Thought I'd share this one too - she lives in one of front yard trees:

Traci... the vet always thought she was a flame point siamese or something along those lines, because she pretty much fit the description to a T right down to her crossed blue eyes and vocalizations, but her brother was an orange tabby (with Meezer characteristics and head/body shape) so not really possible. She was my first diabetic before FDMB.

Oh, but it IS possible to have a meezer with a non-meezer sibling. My Boomer had the same thing. His sibs weren't meezer either. Girl cats can be impregnated with kittens from MULTIPLE fathers and still be born in the same litter!!! :o Cool, huh?

This thread makes me smile :-D

Love the baby pics. I am making a Blurb book about Tom and pulled out some of his baby pics, which I have yet to scan.
My other 2 were adopted as older kitties, so no baby pics there.

I knew they could be impregnated by multiple boys, but it still didn't seem plausible to me that a Meezer could be born with non Meezers, even with the different daddy scenario, but I didn't properly think it through. Thanks for the info... I guess she really was a Meezer then. That's neato! lol

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are Soooooooooo CUTE!!! I have only hard copies of my babies & got them when they were 3mths old, brought them in at 6 mths--Will try to scan --Thanks for melting my heart with cuteness!!!!!

Because of this, they can also be different 'ages' too from a development standpoint when they're born. In many cases, the runt was the last one 'created'.

LOVE babees... :-D

I don't have any photos of Sid or Jake(GA) as kittens or any of my other cats as I adopted them all as adults, except for Eliot who is 5 now. I fostered his mom (black cat) and her 7 babies - 2 chocolate point mixes, 3 black, and 2 gray tabby point mixes. I loved all of those kittens so much that I had to keep one (which I had never done before!) So here is Eliot. He has the most beautiful blue eyes

Here is my Saimers. She is the most beautiful kitty ever and I won't hear arguments to the contrary.

Freyabear. One of the sweetest kitties you could ever hope to meet.

It kills me that these two are GA. Saima was the kitty love of our life. RIP.

I tried to add a pic of our new booboos Callie and Elsie (adopted from Hope+Baby this fall) but keep getting an error.
