Doodles 1/20 I almost retested this morning o_O!! He's already in rare form this morning chasing the Moo and mewing to go in the garage. He suckered me into the garage 3 times yesterday and wonder why my laundry doesn't get done. Pet water fountain ordered. Being a Maine Coon he's always "played" with water....i.e. paws, splashing etc. so this should be interesting.:rolleyes: Only took 2 cans of food for him to eat a lousy 1.1 oz this morning soo things are improving.

Nice start for Doodles. :D It sounds like he's feeling good. The water fountain should be fun if he plays in it. My civvie Callie (GA) would stick her paw in the flow of water before she took a drink and I had to clean the filter a couple of times a week to get he fuzz out of it.
 
Gave Doodles .5oz Boars Head low salt ham @2.5 for a snack. It's the only people food he ever ate and haven't given it to him since DX. Looked it up and it's 2% carbs for 2oz so think as a small treat to keep him happy he can have some from time to time.
 
Doodles is looking awesome today!! I agree...a small treat at times is well-deserved. I have two Maine Coon mixes. Both love water, too, but one is absolutely hilarious about it. He purposely sticks his head under the running faucet, then runs to his food dish and dumps the water from his head into his food and eats a few bites....repeat until done. When he's done, of course he gives us all a shower with a good shake. Craziest cat ever!

He's doing his FLAT cat thing again but wrong color. Picked up some NV Raw Chicken bites...we'll start that as a snack to see how it goes. Fingers crossed...feeling defeated with his food again.
 
Glad that he is liking the new treats! And I hope that he will love his fountain. I have had several foster cats over the years who really loved it... the reason I originally purchased mine was a foster kitten, Cowboy. Cowboy was so obsessed with water that he managed to jump into my toilet not once, but twice as I flushed. Luckily, he also didn't mind the obligatory bath followed right afterwards... but the water fountain seemed to be a much safer option.
