Yesterday's Catnip Fest
Here we are, late again! Seems like I spent the entire day in my car. Oh wait, I did!
Cinco had me a little nervous with that +3, as DH was not working from home today, but my out the door +4 made me feel better. Still, I loaded up Otto with 8% and every speck was gone when I got home! Looks like he hung out on the blue floor with China all day (if they did anything else, they're not telling).
Minka had her 7th round of chemo today. Her kidney values were slightly elevated from last week, although still within normal range, so the oncologist wants us to do fluids every day instead of every other. She had also lost a few more ounces, so Dr. S. encouraged me to keep trying to find a food lower in Phos than FF that Minka will eat, but so far so bad. I thought she liked Halo's Succulent Salmon tonight, but she only ate about a teaspoon before turning away. Darn! Poor thing got stuck at UCD because Harvey's appointment took almost two hours, and I got the call that Minka was done as I was driving in for it. I figured she was better with them than in her carrier with us. Dr. S. said she slept the whole time.
They spent a lot of time trying to get a good BP read on Harvey. He just wouldn't settle down (no surprise), so the six or seven readings they took were all over the map. They hope to get one in the morning when he's more relaxed and comfy there. The surgery will be sometime in the afternoon. They plan to take a biopsy of his liver, and possibly his pancreas while they're at it. They hope to do it all via the minimally invasive procedure, so paws crossed they can get what they need that way. They'll call me in the morning with an update, and after the surgery is complete. Results will take about a week.

The student on his case called about a half hour ago to let me know how he's settling in. He said he hasn't eaten anything yet, but they are letting him take his time. I did not take food, but if he hasn't eaten anything for them by morning I will take something in tomorrow that they can give him tomorrow night. He will hopefully come home on Friday.
I need to get started on dinner. Thank goodness for leftovers! Hope everyone had a good hump day.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and Amy's DM.
