Happy Friday LL! Definitely starting out better this morning than yesterday. Zener is doing fine. He had a picnic this morning and then a little later I checked on him and he was eating grass. We do not need any puking! Last night, I meant to leave out some 11% and I got it all fixed then left the bowl on the counter. Oops. The good thing is that I got up at 4 am and saw what happened. So I put down some 4% and he ate that. :cool: That is normally what Tillie will eat occasionally and she had some too. Crazy cats.

Rosalie: Thank you for the food suggestions in yesterday's condo. We'll give them a try. Zener eats the ProPlan urinary tract chicken which is 11%. Kitties are complicated! I'm so glad your procedure went smoothly and hope you have a rapid recovery.

Melissa: Yep, we like our carbs too. :lol: :lol:

Serryn: "More petting and less worry" is what Zener told me on New Year's Eve so that's my resolution for the year. :-D

Not a bad start for Zener today! Think yellow and blue buddy! No grass eating. It's bad for the tummy big guy.

Good start to the day! Hope Zener has some really good numbers later today. My civvie used to eat all my plants-Moonie used to also, but has stopped--she really liked sunflower leaves!!

Leo is a big grass eater as well, he always has been, it's just one of those cat things I guess. It's never made him barf tho. Keep away from the grass Zener!!! I thought you had like 10 feet of snow there?

It really is awesome to see how well Zener is doing, now to get those numbers down!

Hi all! Ah Zener.... grass? Mannie would be happy just to see the grass in his yard.... still under a foot of snow. He was thinking maybe he could come and visit and share some of yours. :lol: It is great to read that Zener is doing fine - and a picnic too! :-D I a hoping for some yellows for you Zener. :-D bummer on the fuds, but it seems to have worked out OK.

Alas, in spite of all the encouragement from his LL aunties, Zener stayed on the pink floor today and I am grateful for that! After checking with Sienne, who checked with Jill, I decided to increase to 1.0u after just 4 cycles at 0.75u, given his recent illness and previously higher dose. It seems very unlikely that 0.75u is a good dose for him right now and decided to be just a bit aggressive on the increase since I could test him more this weekend. Note to newbies: generally you stay 6 cycles at a dose before increasing. Given Zener's circumstances, I am not following that exactly.

Thank you, Sienne and Jill, for sharing your expertise. I should also add that Jill had reservations about increasing (I do too!). Paws crossed for a gentle descent to lower numbers. Will be testing soon.

Linda, Melissa, Ann, Roni: Thanks for visiting and encouraging Zener to find some lower numbers. I bet that helped him stay pink instead of those other unspeakable colors.

Tracy: We haven't had any snow since Dec. 12, the night before Zener's dental! It's all melted now. :-x Paws crossed for another storm but looks like they are heading north these days - Alaska and Seattle. Right, Michelle? I wish we had some snow to cover up that grass. :lol: :lol:

Oh, and the poo patrol was completely foiled last night but tonight, I did note that Zener came in with that certain odor and licking his butt but his fur was nice and clean. So no liquipoo at least. I did spot Tillie doing her business in the yard and checked her contribution. Nice and healthy and soft. She's been on miralax a few days too so it seems to be working for her. Did anyone really want to know that besides Anne, who will wake up Saturday morning and read this before breakfast? :lol: :lol: Happy weekend everyone!

I'm so glad to hear Zener is eating well these days, and glad to hear the poo patrol is keeping pu with their duties (or is that doodies :lol: !). Good luck with the dosecrease!!!

Only us crazies on FDMB can relate to the poo patrol and actually enjoy reading about it!

Still stinky pinky but getting close... I sure feel better when his appy is good. He finished a 3 oz can and I only had him down for 2.7 oz. :roll: Whatever.

I'm so glad Zener is eating and feeling better. And look at that drop tonight -- yes! The dosecrease seems to be working for him. It would be worth staying awake just to see a pretty blue number. I hope you're having/have had a great evening, Liz.
