All good here except for that yucky BG. Broke our streak of blue pre-shots. Oh well. Zener was very hungry at shot time and ate his first two bowls right down. Then he had to do yard patrol but was not interested in a picnic. Then I chased him around the house with his third bowl until he finally gave in and ate it on the bed while Anne was asleep. :lol: :lol:

Sending healing energy to Mannie, Moonie, Bubba, Do Lou, punkin, Cleo (Georgia's civie). Thinking of beans whose kitties have recently crossed over: Lyresa, Jenny & Brian. Congrats to Ella on winning the Sweets Basket in the raffle!

Morning Liz and Zener, come on down and do one of those nice slides today. That encouraging to hear he ate his first two bowls no problem. The third bowl is the charm where he eats it in bed with AnneBean sleeping. :lol: Nice on the yard patrol, maybe picnic later when i warms up, Zener? Have a nice Sunday.

What a nice slide down at the +4. My kitties also like to eat on the bed. What is is with that? I am constantly brushing up pieces of food on the comforter, although what is a little food compared to all the cat hair on the bed?!!

Liz, thanks for sending healing thoughts to Cleo. I am very thankful for all of you in LL.

Hi Anne and Liz - nice recovery today for Zener - that infamous slide at work.

Very nice on the appy too! I love the chasing with the bowl... omg that has been so me these past few weeks. Today was the first day in awhile where he are in his spot, no chasing involved. Wonderful when they eat, isn't it?

I wanted to thank you for continuously visiting Mannie, when I know your own plate is full. Thank you.

Glad the bounce is broken!! Love the pix of Zener Belly!!! Moonie has the same shaved belly!! She loves to have it rubbed!
Moonie also eats in bed, but just after her shot--She takes a few bites & then, leaves so it can be put on the Floor for Her Majesty!! Remember we are their servants....But it's worth it right? :lol: :lol: :lol:

It's been a Zener slide all day today and a lovely PMPS, but unhappy appy so beans worry. We gave him a sliver of cypro appy stimulant tonight for the first time in weeks, but with numbers still dropping we can't be sure he will be safe. He has been a bit restless today and it seems as if his tummy is hurting him some. We asked our animal communicator to check in with him again after we got the news from the ultrasound and we were making our treatment plan. Here is what he had to say to her:

Yes, the kidney disease matches what I was getting. Not infection. Zener is dealing with the diabetes affecting so many systems in his body. He feels good on most days right now. He appreciates all that you and Ann are doing for him.
I know this is difficult to hear but Zener is not interested in going to PHX for multiple tests and treatments if this turns out to be Lymphoma. His intestinal system gets irritable at times but he does not feel this is a major concern. It just feels "normal" to him.
His appetite is picky because of the delayed emptying of the stomach. Keep him on the Cerenia (?) and his other meds.
Zener's body has never been quite normal and he just learned to deal with some odd limitations. Zener is very matter of fact of this whole situation. Zener wishes to stay with you as long as he is happy and content. And this is how he feels right now.
He loves you both so very much.

It just makes us cry when we read how much he loves us and what he wants us to do as long as he is happy and content. The PHX mentioned above is Phoenix Arizona, and the trip would take us 6 hours round trip not counting the time we would have to spend with an oncologist vet and however long any further testing would take. So, it is comforting for us to know that he doesn't want any of that. That's what we and our vet had thought but we wanted to check with our boy and he agrees.

Paws crossed this is just an intestinal/tummy blip and appy will pick up and he will feel sassy very soon.

I'm a little late checking in, but am very glad to see the AC report and hear that the Z Man is OK with how you are proceeding And he's in the lagoon tonight. The LagoonMeister will keep an eye on him from the shore!

My, my... our 2nd time below 50 at this dose and we've been at this dose since 31 December. We've been seeing some bouncing and diving behavior lately so maybe it is time to shave and see if we can flatten the big guy out. :lol: :lol: :lol: The tiny sliver of cypro did the trick and the big guy is eating so beans can relax, for the time being. :cool:

@Amy & TrixieCat - Zener does know what he wants, and our AC helps us "hear" what that is. She has been so right on all along so we feel lots better about our plan.

@Wendy & Neko - yes, this is the CLASSIC Zener slide, one that keeps going through two cycles. :mrgreen: We are so relieved to know we are all in sync with our plan.
Hey Neko, you has got it going on with the slide. I's love to go from slide to trampoline, but my beans don't like that so much. Does yours? - Zener

@Ella & Rusty - it's never too late to check in here. I do night duty until midnight most nights and we are on MST. We are so glad to know we are doing what Zener wants. When he stopped eating last year after his dental, and Liz was syringe feeding him for a week, we asked our AC to check in with him if this was what he wanted. At that time he said yes, he wanted to try it and see if his tummy would start working. And it did within a day or two of starting Cerenia injections. His appy is much better tonight since the cypro kicked in. We only use a tiny sliver and it's the first time we have used it in over a month. Thanks for all the healing vines!

@Deborah & Shasta - thanks for sending happy appy vines, we can sure use them! Zener has told our AC before he knows how much we love him and he thinks we take the bestest care of him. It makes our house full of happy hearts!

Looks like we have a PJ party going on and tomorrow is a holiday, that is way too convenient. ;-) ~O) :mrgreen: ~O)

What a great AC report and I'm sure it makes you feel alot better. Nice Zener slide for Zener. Gracie says Zener doesn't really dive.....not like a Princess dive.
