2 blue pre shot numbers in a row! Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend!! party_cat

I am still concerned about his eating habits. Last night, he ate all of his +2 snack, but did not even touch his +5 or +8 snacks!! I have been noting on his ss when he doesn't eat everything. Should I be concerned? Or could it be that he just doesn't need as much food now that he is at his ideal weight and his BG levels are under better control? I am still attempting to feed him 1/4 can food at shot time, +2, +5, and +8 day & night. According to the Friskies package, he should eat 2 of their 5.5oz cans per 24 hours. For Fancy Feast he should eat 4 of their 3 oz cans per 24 hours, and for the EVO that I just found at the store the other day, he should be eating a little less than 2 of their 5.5 oz cans.

The rest of Morris' P's all seem to be in place this morning!

I hope this is the beginning of a trend for Morris also.
As far as the eating.....they are not as hungry when in lower numbers especially blue. Does he seem ok otherwise? You said all his p's are fine.
ECID when it comes to food. Putty eats a 1/2 of a 3oz. can at shot time and 1/4 at +4 and +8. He could probably eat a lot more but he is 13 1/2 pounds and I do not want him to gain any weight. He also gets Halo freeze dried chicken treats after testing.

I would just keep an eye on Morris and if he is acting fine and litterbox is fine then he may just not be as hungry right now. cat_pet_icon

I will just say that if ANY of my animals ate the amount that the manufacturer recommends, they couldhave careers as parade floats!

That's approx. 280-380 calories of Friskies or Fancy Feast depending on flavour :shock: Is he that big a kitty?

Thank you all for your feedback! Morris is approx 11 lbs. now, which is his ideal weight. I guess I just needed some reassurance! He does seem very healthy right now (especially compared to when he came back home in July!). When he eats some but not all of his food, I was a little concerned.....last night, when he didn't even touch 2 of his snacks, that is when I got really concerned & came here looking for help/support! Many, many thanks!!

Home just long enough to poke Morris, get changed & post here! Then I'm off for my other mom duties! LOL!

I cleaned out alot of good LB action this afternoon. I checked his feeder & he did not touch his +2 snack, ate most of his +5 snack, and all of his +8 snack.
 
Whew! Just barely stayed in the blue zone!

Dd even VOLUNTEERED to come help me with this evenings poking! Perhaps 1 day, she will be interested in learning how to do this stuff for me!! She is only turning 11 next week, so I guess her being my assistant is a beginning!! :lol:
