Just look at my bootiful GREEN/BLUE baby! I have a suspicion that the location of his injection may have something to do with his numbers. I THINK I've noticed that scruff shots work better than any other location. I usually use a front side flank as when he's nicely hydrated (most of the time), there's really not much extra skin on the scruff compared to my other cats. The skin is also tougher making me have to push harder with the needle - that bothers my needlephobia when I have to push hard.
We had UNWANTED excitement here yesterday - first thing yesterday morning, DH saw Spike chasing another cat TOWARD our fence but it was just a glimpse - he thought he saw Spike go over the fence into the backyard. He goes to the gate and here's Spike sitting OUTSIDE the gate. Hummm....he swears he saw Spike go in but decided he was nutty instead. He didn't say anything to me. I'm standing in the sunroom and look out - staring back at me is my other little gray tabby, Miss Lilly, terrified. She is always in the cattery and I KNOW I didn't leave the doorS open - two of them. She'd been out long enough she was terrified and zoned out on the terror. She kept running from me, I had to corner her and grab as she tried to climb the metal building. When I finally got hold of her, she realized that it was me and snuggled in. When I got her back into the cattery, she went under her couch and didn't want to come out for several hours. Today she's so snuggly and wants to be smothered in my arms. She'd found a hole in the back where the old tin had began rusting, pushed and got out but couldn't get back in. She won't even GO toward that corner now even tho' it's ALL fixed.
Got almost all of the detail painting done yesterday on the remainder of the walls that are going to be painted. Looks like we're in jail - all walls have light tan strips down them. I HOPE I can get them fully painted today but DH seems to be feeling fairly strong this morning so may end up starting on the new subfloor instead. We have to move refrig, hutch, desk and table to start - wish I could just do that with a twitch of my nose....
Can't tell any difference in Scruffy today but the Enalapril is upsetting his stomach making him not want to eat. I fed him first yesterday hoping maybe that would make it better but no, just threw up food too. I tried a half pepcid but it didn't seem to do much.
Boy I'm long-winded today aren't I? It's supposed to be close to 70 today - January 20th! Gonna enjoy it!!!
HUGS to all,
