I did give her a shot this morning - still the 1 drop.
Her numbers last night and today don't reflect anything from missing last nights shot.

She was green at +18 and slid into the greens again this morning after the low blue amps.

Do I try an OTJ trial again????

I think Honey is close, but I would rather see you wait a few days. Here's why:

Looking at her SS, overall the numbers are great. But she has that one weird higher day on 1/17. Whenever there are numbers over about 120, my preference is to hold a few more days and put the highs (like that 145) further into the rearview mirror. The goal is to have about a week of numbers that are solidly in the normal range, which is usually about 120.

There are definitely indicators that Honey is almost ready. The couple of times you have tried a +9 snack recently, Honey did pull her numbers down. She is newly diagnosed and she held her numbers pretty well overnight without insulin.

She's doing great, and an OTJ trial now might work fine, but to give her the best chance of success I would rather see her get well past that higher day.

I like the plan Libby outlined. A couple of more days and no doubt, Honey will be ready.

it's hard to be patient, but sooooooo worth it. :smile:

In the meantime, try more +9 snacks. They do seem to help.

I will try to do a +9 feeding tonight - its a real killer though as it would be a 4am get up and then I get up at 6am for work (yuk :twisted: )

I tried the cats on raw food for the first time tonight - turkey thighs and TC Feline pre-mix.
Honey and Monster loved it - both had seconds and empty plates.
Minkie completely ignore it - as predicted. He really isn't keen on poultry.
