Well...hello, hello!
The Beanie Boy and his crazy hoomin checking in somewhere round 2 months in our second encampment at the Falls
Things have been marginally different here at the NW funny farm, as I have ramped up my search for gainful employment...
(translation- got serious about getting a job) so have been gone from the homefront more than usual.
The kitties aren't sure what to make of this, but one thing Binks knows for certain is that he's BORED, BORED, BORED...
so is seeking out new & unusual modes of entertainment. :?
I came home one day to find him blissfully snoozing in the aftermath of a white storm (he got into the cupboard and
released three bags of cotton balls back into the wild)
Two days later he and Annie opened the pantry door and cleared off all shelves but one...fortunately, no glass containers,
but there were some casualties amongst the staple foods. ;-)
This morning, I got back from an interview, and the boy was nowhere to be found.
I searched the house, calling and cajoling, with Annie at my heels meowing worriedly...
as Smudge parked on the couch in hopeful anticipation of one less competitor for my attention.
Just before panic set in, I heard muffled Manxie chatter issuing from the living room- but couldn't pinpoint his location:
until Smudge erupted off the couch with a hiss and a snarl...due to a little grey paw that had snaked up around the cushion side and whomped her
The couch is a sleeper with storage underneath, and my lil bugger squeezed through a tiny opening in the side to await his unsuspecting prey
Binks and Annie are ever so slowly exploring the possibility of being occasional playmates. I have the highest hopes, because he so desperately
wants a friend, and I think it would help Annie overcome her shyness.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, he is exploring new and creative ways to torment Smudge.
The other day I was relaxing in the bath while Smudge lay on the bathmat...and Binks came in to get her riled up.
Every time he appears, she goes into defensive mode, while he studiously ignores her- knowing full well he's egging her on.
She scuttled behind the door, and I sent him out of the room. But she continued her snarling and hissing
(I will admit here that i get irritated by her continually grumpy and contentious attitude),
so I finally sat up and said "Oh be quiet...he's GONE!"...
and realized that the little poop was out of sight quietly reaching through the crack between the door and the wall whacking at her
I LOVE my little devil!
Things are "funny business as usual" here in Binkstown
And though some of you may have seen this, i stumbled onto this video today...
and wanted to share it with you.
It is the absolutely heart-warming story of Anjana the chimp, who adopts orphan baby tigers, pumas, and leopards at TIGERS preserve...
ADORABLE! the final scene is Anjana watching herself on the Ellen Show.
Sending healing energy to all our family members in need,
and may we all live, laugh, and share love to the fullest!
