Way too much pink going on yesterday! Today we are starting with the same AMPS as yesterday, 267. But today we're going down, not up. OK Weezer?

At lunch time yesterday she heard me thinking about a turkey sandwich and showed up in the line of furry faces waiting for a handout. Then she stayed in the main part of the house with the rest of the family for most of the day. That is unusual for her; she generally prefers her refuge in the master suite. I love it when she hangs out with us.

Wishing a kitty day for all, plenty of purrs, play, sunny spots and lots of love.

Weezer can read your mind??? :o :shock: she must have wanted a turkey sandwich too! Good to hear she was out and about yesterday and not in hiding.

LOL! I have no doubt kitties are fuzzy little mind-readers!!

Morning! Uncanny isn't it how they can now what we are thinking... especially when it involves food. and turkey? the best. It is so great that she hung out with everyone. :cool: :cool:

hi linda - great to hear weezer's feeling social. punkin actually climbed on me and sat on me for about 20 minutes yesterday. not sure what was up, but i treasured it. we love our little ones.

after thinking about it, i think i'm going to leave punkin's ss alone. seems like it would be harder to see the trends on the ss with it running backwards. i'd have to re-learn how to "read" it. thanks for the "how-to" though.

Hi Linda, sorry to see Weezer went the wrong way again. Silly girl she'll get the ahang of it eventually!!!

My crew has lunchmeat radar. They hear the deli drawer in the fridge and come running from ever corner of the house. Must be a more common trait among kitties than I realized!

Pretty flat day for Weezer. Sweet girl. So glad she is hanging out with you more. I asked Tarragon about the party and told him I heard through the grapevine that there might be a love connection. He was all mum. I guess he knows that real gentlemen don't kiss and tell. He sure has been purry lately though.

That is cute about the furry faces lined up for a handout. Did Weezer always hang out in the master suite, even before diagnosis?

Hi Linda and Weezer. It's nice to meet both of you. Mr. Gus was dx'd with diabetes in March 2011. His acro dx came in June 2011. When began posting in March, Gus rarely had numbers that were readable on the meter. Most gucometers read only up to 600. That meant that Gus had consistently, outrageously high numbers. The other beans were fabulous to me in keeping my outlook positive and never letting me get too far into the 'poor us' thing. Libby (Gus' angel) came along and taught me how to use humulin R to help Lantus do its job. It seemed as if it took forever to get Gus down into the 400s and I was happy with that. That's really how bad the poor guy was. Now, 9 months later, Gus is back to old self and regularly has numbers in the 100s and 200s. So, you asked what words of advice I might have for you. "Don't ever give up hope" Your Weezer is beautiful and it sounds like you certainly are on the right track. There are so many learned and experienced people here who will guide you and help your furry baby get healthier. Glad to have met you and welcome to the Lantus/acro kitty family.
